Love in the sun

Nathan's POV

On getting to the penthouse later in day, I was reminded of her when I got to the kitchen, she loved cooking and I wanted to avoid her memories until much later which was why I stayed away from certain rooms.

Mostly the kitchen and the balcony, no matter how much I wanted to forget the nights we spent in the bedroom I couldn't get it out and I gave in, I needed her.

Sooner or later, I was going to come face to face with her. I didn't want to leave Italy without her and despite trying to get her off my mind it was always going up be of no use because bigger memories to be acknowledged awaited me in Otranto.

For the first time since I arrived in Rome, I went to the balcony and I saw her smiling at me, like she used to.

I feel like a coward, I should have stayed.

"Nathan get up or you'll miss your flight." I heard someone say.

How did they get in?

I looked up to face a smiling Sean.

"Good morning Legend."

Only a few people called me that but I preferred her saying it. It sounded right when she did. I felt like one when she did.

"Good morning." I slept thinking of her, she's always clouding my thoughts. I wonder how I survived in the last few years. I remember how now... by burying myself in work.

I freshened up and got out of the shower only after feeling relieved.

"I wasn't sure of what you'd want so I got you a sausage casserole, is that okay?" Sean asks

Truly, anything would have been okay.

"It's fine. I'm supposed to be leaving in when?"
He takes a glance at his watch.
"Ten minutes, the driver's waiting downstairs for you."

I went back to my casserole then had a bath before heading out to the car waiting outside for me and minutes later, I'm at the airport walking towards the plane. Thankfully, it's my private plane and it certainly won't leave without me in it.

"I'm sorry I'm late." I say to the pilot who happens to be an old friend of mine.

"I had a little more time to myself, it's okay." He shakes my hand and goes to the cockpit.

We're off to Brindisi.

Okay guys this is our first of many povs ,it's pretty short cause it had to be taken out of the first chapter because of its length.
