Love in the sun

Uriel stood on the podium looking at the mirror,she didn't really care about what wedding gown she'd wear but she needed one and took the first one she has seen; a white tied one shoulder satin ball gown. Regina,Ash and Olga were in attendance "You still love him."

"You remind me everyday Olga. "She said,the room went quiet "His father came by to see me yesterday." she held back her tears. "He said it was his fault Nathan left four years ago and that he loves me. "

"You rejected him too many times but he still loves you if not more than when he first fell in love with you." Regina chipped in "Doesn't that say something?"she thought about what Enzo had said to her the previous day

"Think about a future with those two charming men. "Olga continued "Olga's right. Think about that. What do you see? "Ashley join in   encouraging Uriel to close her eyes and think "You are scared to be broken again.We understand that but he has promised that he won't do that again. "

"He won't leave you. "Regina went on and Uriel closed her eyes to think. Paul was nice she never loved him and sometimes wondered how they were just days apart from their wedding.

With Nathan, she saw herself smiling as she walked down the aisle,making love with him,them traveling together on vacations and business meetings, being at his side, having his kids,their kids... having a family with him was exactly what she wanted.

She wanted Nathan,she needed him.

"I loved Nathan a lot. I really love." her eyes burst open and a few tears escaped them. Ashley handed her a handkerchief "You've finally realised that." Regina came up to embrace her when her phone rang

"Hey Uriel something's wrong."said a distressed voice.

Uriel panicked, what could go wrong now? "What's wrong? "Her voice croaked "I've been trying to get to Paul but his line isn't going through. It's Nate."

Uriel turned pale,her legs almost gave up on her "What's wrong with Nate? Is he ok?"

"He's leaving Uriel. He just went out and  I heard he's to be at the airport in an hour or less. He's leaving. "

"Paul won't have a best man. It will be disastrous. "

To hell with the wedding it won't even happen but Nathan was leaving

"I'll see if I can do something. He won't leave but if he does Tony will stand in for him. "She said calmly.

"Please hurry there's not much time left. "She hung up and rushed into the dressing room to hastily change

"What was that about? "Olga asked as Uriel bursted out of the dressing room "It's Matilda. she said Nate's leaving now. "The ladies around her gasped "Why?"

"I don't know aunt. It's all because of me. If I had just give in and stopped being stubborn,this wouldn't have happened." She took on heavy breaths "I love him." She heaved

"When do you think his flight leaves?"

"In an hour or less." She replied and grabbed her car keys "Then go after him...you don't have much time left but there's still time ." Uriel nodded obediently "I'll call you all when I get to him later... I hope I get him on time."

"Hurry and you will."

They stood back and watched Uriel run like a mad woman towards her car whilst giving each other knowing looks.
