"You made it!" Nate exclaimed and walked towards Paul and Uriel. "We couldn't miss it buddy. Congrats."
"Thanks bro... Uriel you're looking wonderful. How are you?" He loved her look in a navy bohoo twist detail skater dress. Uriel was taken aback by Nathan's friendliness towards her infront of Paul.
"Thanks you don't look bad. I'm good."
Both friends were in a classic fit suit "Let's go in shall we and get some drinks while we're at it." He stopped a waiter as they walked in and grabbed two glasses for the couple.
"It's Cirò, all wines in Italy make me feel less depressed when I see people I don't want to see...drink up. There's tiramisu for everyone, I heard that quite a lot of ladies love it."
Uriel's eyes lit up, she loved it a lot and he remembered "I'll have get something excuse me."
"Take care of yourself." She nodded and walked away "Just less than two weeks left and she'll be all yours no need to bother."
"I know. Want to get some shots?"
"Woah, aren't you driving Uriel home?" Paul had just made Nathan's work much easier "Just one or two...I can hold up... remember."
"Alright, go to the bar and I'll join you in a bit. I need to greet someone important."
"Don't make me wait."
"Someone's looking appealing tonight." He whispered in her ear and she flinched at his breath on her skin "Nate stop that."
"I was just complementing. You look extra dressed up, is it for me darling?" He smiled at some people passing by "Of course not, I'm here with Paul and I dressed fit for the event."
"We both know that it's not for Paul." He sighed and took note of the other women at a corner waiting for his attention, Uriel traced his sight to them.
"They're waiting for you." She said with disgust.
"Someone's jealous."
"I'm about to get married to your best friend, why will I ever be jealous of the ladies after you?" She was jealous but wouldn't admit it.
Fair enough, she knew better.
"Cause you love me."
"Why did you come here? Shouldn't you be with Paul or some other investors?" He shrugged "I don't always get to see my love, do I? If I have to throw parties everyday just to see you then I will."
"Then you'll leave me for a job sooner or later. I'm not stupid Nate, why are you here?"
"You shouldn't bring up sour memories to ruin the moment love. It sucks."
"Look where those memories brought us, Nate." He looked down and spoke softly "How about we get you that tiramisu I ordered especially for you."
"I already had one."
"There's no rule against taking another one. Come on babe or I'll just kiss you in front of everyone."
"I won't fall for your cheap tricks Mr Montez."
"Oh really." He came close, dangerously close.
"Where should we get it from?"
"Much better." He beamed "This way." He pointed behind her and she walked off with him trailing closely behind her.
Paul located the bar side and took a stool immediately "What will you have sir?"
"Nothing for now. I'm waiting for my friend to join me then I'll make an order."
