Nathan had dressed casually and had a fixed smile on his face as he stepped into Vicente's diner. Ashely informed him that she was supposed to meet up with Uriel there but he should take a chance with her.

He identified her on the table by the window, tapping away on her phone and quietly took a seat in front of her.

"Ash what took you so long?" On getting no answer, she looked up and gasped "Surprise."

"What are you doing here?"

"I was passing by and when I thought of you, I miraculously saw the diner. Fortunately for me, I saw you and I came to join you."

"I'm expecting someone else you should leave."

"I'll wait till your guest comes." She shook her head and glanced at her phone

Can't make it. Something came up.

Is everything okay there?

Yeah. We'll catch up later

It's okay. Till then 🙂

"Anything important?" He smirked "My guest can't make it."

"Good for us then. You look beautiful." He took in her pink sleeveless assymetrical jumpsuit.

"You don't look bad yourself."
"Glad it came from you. I'm guessing that you were supposed to have a girls day out."

"What makes you think my guest was a girl." Her eyes narrowed in suspicion.

"Your pink outfit gives you away." He blurted out the first thing that popped into his head, the last thing he needed now was a suspicious Uriel. It will ruin his partnership with her family.

"I'll take this mysterious person's place today."

"I don't think so. I'm leaving." She got up but Nathan's legs swept her down, causing her to plop down on the seat again.

"You won't be doing that." He called for the waiter and ordered for the two of them.

"Let's interact, shall we?"

"What's there to interact about?"

"Let's talk about anything."

"Now that you've said that...why did you leave?"

As much as she didn't want to admit it, she wanted to know why. She thought about it the entire night.

"I thought you said it won't change anything."

His hopes had risen, she cared.

"It won't. Don't forget that my wedding is three weeks away."

"I may have to kidnap you to get my way Uriel, I haven't given up yet."

"You should...Will you tell me or not?" he went on to tell of his past lifestyle, his father's business and how he wasn't deemed worthy of the position. "By taking that opportunity, I proved myself and I'm the CEO of the business. It's all in my hands now."

"You left me to prove yourself... For four years Nathaniel"

"I know I messed up Uriel but I was never happy. I couldn't gather the courage to come back and look you in the eye and when I finally did, you've moved on."
