Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon, loved his girlfriend. He loved his camp, loved his friends and family, loved spending time with them. And that's exactly what he was doing. Annabeth leant against him while they sat on the beach with Rachel, Grover and Nico. The water was calm that morning, which meant Percy's dad was in a good mood. Little did Percy know, everything was about to change.
"Hey Nico!" someone called from up on the hill. They turned to see Will, and Nico grinned, "See ya guys."
"Bye," the four of them said as Nico stood and walked up the hill.
"So," Grover said, "What are we going to do before summer ends? It's got to be fun."
Rachel grinned, "I suggested paintball, but Percy was very against the idea of getting paint in his hair."
Percy protested, "Hey! I said eyes!"
Annabeth laughed, "Sure, Seaweed Brain."
"Did anyone bring some food?" Rachel asked. Percy grinned and pulled up the picnic basket he and Annabeth had prepared, "I thought you'd never ask."
Annabeth rolled  her eyes, "Did you hide that behind you so you could have a dramatic reveal."
"Yep," Percy smiled. Then he kissed his girlfriend. Rachel groaned, "I just want the food! Stop being gross!"
All four of them laughed, and Percy handed out sandwiches to Annabeth and Rachel, and a enchilada to Grover. The four of them bit into their food and Rachel let out a sigh, "Who knew you could cook!"
"I have many talents," Percy wiggled his eyebrows. Annabeth nearly choked on her sandwich, "Oh please! You just chopped up some vegtables and put some packaged meat on! Anyone can do that!"
"But," Percy protested, "Not everyone can do it without chopping off their fingers. I think I deserve an award."
They all laughed again, but Rachel's laughter quickly turned into a choke.
"Rach?" Percy asked, concerned.
"I'm fine," she wheezed. Then she sat straight up, gasping as green light flashed in her eyes. It faded quickly, and she looked at Percy with horror filled eyes.
"Rachel?" Annabeth asked, "Are you okay?"
"Did you see something?" Grover pressed. Rachel seemed very shaken up, and she didn't take her eyes off me.
"Oh Percy..." she whispered, before standing and running off. Percy frowned and looked at Annabeth, who shrugged.
"Well that was weird," Grover said, finishing his enchilada in one bite, "Maybe someone should go see if she's alright?"
"I'll go," Annabeth said, before kissing my cheek and leaving to go see Rachel.

Annabeth approached Rachel's cave, thinking that was probably where she went, especially if she had seen a prophecy of some sort. Annabeth had never seen the spirit of delphi coming to her friend without spewing some prophecy. She was kind of glad that it didn't say a prophecy, because that would mean another stupid quest that someone would have to go on, most likely Percy and Annabeth. Rachel was sitting inside her cave, her painting easel out. She was rummaging around in her drawers. She pulled out a fresh canvas and a set of paints. She turned around and yelped when she saw Annabeth in the mouth of the cave.
"Sorry," Annabeth winced, "You don't have anywhere to knock."
"That's alright," Rachel sighed, placing the canvas on the easel and picking up a paintbrush.
"Are you alright?" Annabeth asked. Rachel's face hardened, "I'm fine."
Annabeth raised an eyebrow skeptically, "You said something about Percy."
"Honestly, Annabeth," she sounded exasperated, "I'm fine! Just let me paint what I saw, and then maybe I can explain it, okay?"
Annabeth wasn't happy about it, but she left Rachel to her painting and went to see Chiron. He was sitting outside the big house, playing pinocle with Mr. D.
"Annabeth!" he said as she approached, "Fancy a game of pinocle?"
"Um, no thanks," she said, "I actually wanted to talk to you about Rachel."
"Ah, yes," Chiron frowned, "Percy mentioned she had an episode on the beach. He also mentioned that she didn't say a prophecy, but rather, she just said Percy's name."
"Yeah," Annabeth said, "That's what I wanted to talk to you about."
Chiron smiled, "As I told Percy, I'm sure we don't need to worry. We will just have to wait and see if Rachel opens up or not, okay?"
Annabeth nodded. If Chiron wasn't worried, then she shouldn't be. The horn signalled it was time for dinner. Annabeth went off to find her cabinmates.
