Percy lounged on Zeus throne, one leg slung over the armrest. The olympian gods, plus Hades and Hestia, knelt before him. Their thrones had all already been removed from the throne room. Leah stood beside him, holding Poseidon's trident, which the Sea God was staring at. Percy was trying to decide what to do with them. He decided to choose one by one what to do to each individual god, rather than punish them as a whole.
"Zeus!" He called out, then grinned wickedly, "Oh wait he's dead."
After announcing the victory, he had quickly disposed of the head down a toilet. He hadn't really known what to do with it, so he had flushed it away.
"Hera!"
The goddess came up to the dias, hate and fear in her eyes. Percy sat up straight, taking the trident from Leah.
"Come closer," Percy ordered. Hera did, if somewhat hesitantly. Percy smiled at her, "Tartarus for you."
"Wait!" Hera yelled, but it was too late, she disappeared in golden sparks. Percy stood and walked down to the gods. He sent Hephaestus, Ares and Demeter to Tartarus. He examined Aphrodite before announcing, "Tartarus!"
"What!" she protested, "I voted for you!"
"Yeah but you annoy me."
She vanished in a flash fo gold sparks. He turned to his father, scowling as he stared the God of the Sea down.
"Please, Percy," Poseidon pleaded, "Please, my son."
"YOU DON'T GET THE RIGHT TO CALL ME SON!" Percy roared. Poseidon flinched. Percy continued in a soft but menacing voice, "You agreed with them! You voted to send me to Tartarus!"
"You're angry," Poseidon said, "I understand..."
Percy gripped them side of the throne and threw it across the room as if it weighed nothing. Percy turned back to Poseidon, "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING!"
He took a deep breath, "Of course I'm angry. How could I not be angry? You betrayed me and sent me to Tartarus. This is your fault. Zeus dying is your fault!"
Poseidon flinched, "Son..."
Percy held the trident at Poseidon's throat and hissed, "I thought I told you not to call me son."
Poseidon looked at Percy with eyes full of fear, and he buckled. How could he torture his father? Maybe it made him weak, but it was something he would never be able to do.
"I am sending you to Tartarus," Percy whispered, "Be happy I'm not doing worse."
He pointed the trident at his father and with a flash, he disappeared. Percy turned to the remaining six gods; Hades, Artemis, Apollo, Athena, Dionysus and Hestia.
"I voted against you," Dionysus said. Percy frowned, "I am doing you a favor, wine god. Be happy you're not joining the others in Tartarus."
Percy turned to Hestia, "Lady Hestia, please take your place at the hearth."
Hestia curtsied and moved to occupy her usual position in the center of the room. He turned to the others, "Hades, you never bothered me. You can go back to the underworld whenever you choose."
Hades flashed out.
"Apollo and Artemis, you have always been kinder to me than the others. You can continue as you were."
The two of them bowed. He turned to Dionysus, "You will remain Camp director. Always remember that the only reason you're not in Tartarus is because I can't be bothered to find a new Camp director."
Dionysus looked furious, but he bowed and flashed away. Percy turned to Athena, "You shall be my personal advisor."
"Well the first thing I would advise is to stop this," Athena said. Percy frowned, "Do you want to join the others in Tartarus."
Athena didn't say anything, but rather took her place at his side. That's when Kelli chose to storm in. Percy smiled, "Hey Kelli."
"Summon Gaea!" The empousa said, "That was the deal."
Percy thought about it, "I don't think I will, thank you very much. Where's Tammi?"
"She was disintegrated during the battle," Leah replied. Percy frowned, "That's no good."
"Do you even care?" Kelli hissed. Percy walked down the dias to her, "Of course I care. How could I not?"
"You were sitting here in a golden throne rather than bothering to learn!"
Percy looked down, "Kelli, I promise I will do everything in my power to bring Tammi back. But I can't summon Gaea. She will destroy the world whwn I intend to rule it."
"But she gave you everything!" Kelli protested.
"Yes," Percy said quietly, "Everything except the things I wanted."
Kelli softened a little, "Can you promise me something?"
"Anything," he smiled. She grinned, "Let me eat any handsome boys that try to take you down."
Percy laughed, "Of course."
He lifted the throne back up before walking towards the exit, "I have someone I need to see. Kelli is in charge until I return."
Minor gods bowed to him as he left, muttering words like hail and bless our king! He climbed into the elevator and took it down to the bottom. Then, like any normal person, he walked to a bus station and took the bus to Long Island.***
Since Annabeth was sitting on the hill beside Thalia's tree, she was the first to notice the figure making his way up the hill. She stood, planning on signalling for help. Then she stopped herself. She had to talk to him, had to clarify. Percy came in to view, and he grinned when he saw her, "Hey Wise Girl!"
He noticed the look on her face and frowned, "Everything okay?"
"No," she said sharply, "You killed Zeus."
His face hardened, "I did what I had to do."
"What's that supposed to mean?" she demanded.
"It means," he hissed, "That Zeus was a corrupt idiot who needed to be put down!"
"Is that what Gaea told you?"
He froze, and his face contorted into a snarl, "How dare you..."
She huffed a laugh, and he stepped back in confusion. She took a step forward, "I'm not afraid of you Percy Jackson. And I have all the evidence I need to prove that my Seaweed Brain died in Tartarus."
He looked like he'd been shot. And it made Annabeth feel slightly guilty as she continued, "You are no more than a monster in mortal skin."
An arrow flew from a tree and hit Percy in the stomach. It was though he didn't feel any pain, however, as he pulled it out. Annabeth gasped. Golden ichor leaked from the wound. Percy looked at her with cold eyes, "I am a monster in immortal skin. And you cannot stop me."
He turned on his heel and strode back down the hill. The archer in the trees shot again, and this time Percy caught the arrow, spinning so fast it was almost impossible to track, and threw it back up where it came from. Someone screamed, and one of the children of Apollo fell from the tree, an arrow sprouting from her chest. Percy continued walking like it had never happened, "Tell them all that Percy Jackson is the King of the gods, and anyone who crosses him will die."
