Percy was back in his old cell, this time chained to the back wall. He didn't know how many days he sat there, staring at the blood stains on the stone floor. After what seemed like days, Ares walked through the cell wall, and Percy tensed. Ares raised his hands, "I'm not here to hurt you."
The god walked over and sat down in front of Percy, "I'm not sure how much it would hurt you anyway. And it's not the same torturing someone when they don't bleed red."
Percy's hands curled into fists and he growled, "Careful Ares. These chains may be restricting, but I can still blow you away with a tidal wave."
Ares chuckled, "Relax, kid. Like I said, I'm not here to hurt you."
"Then why are you here?" Percy hissed. Ares sighed, "To apologize."
Percy frowned, "What?"
"My experience in Tartarus was horrible. It was the worst I have ever felt. And the whole time I was there, all I could think about was how bad it would've been for you, especially if it turned the most loyal and good person in the world bad. I'm sorry we sent you there."
Percy blinked. Was this really happening? Was the god who hated him the most actually apologizing?
"This doesn't mean I like you," Ares said, "You're still my least favorite person."
Percy shrugged, "The feeling is mutual."
Ares eyes flashed, but then he seemed to remember he was trying to apologize. He stood up and said, "For whatever it's worth, I hope you survive tomorrow."
Percy frowned, "What?"
"The gods have almost decided what to do with you. Tomorrow, one way or another, this will all be over."
Ares turned and walked out of the cell.

Percy didn't get any more visitors until Hermes and Dionysus came to collect him the next day. The two gods marched him in the direction of the throne room. No one was present in the hallways, which confused Percy. There was always someone wandering around the halls of Olympus.
He learned why no one was present when he was pushed into the throne room. Every single living creature on Olympus was standing in the throne room, along with every camper from both camps, the hunters, and even Percy's mom, step-dad and Estelle. Great. Bring on the humiliation!
Hermes and Dionysus led him to the foot of Poseidon's throne, forcing him to his knees before returning to their thrones. Poseidon adressed the crowd, "Today is a day I never thought I would see. Not only had Zeus been destroyed, but us gods have lived through Tartarus, and the demigods and minor gods have lived through the reign of a tyrant."
Percy felt his cheeks burn with shame. Poseidon continued, "Percy Jackson is responsible for kililng Zeus and throwing us gods into Tartarus, as well as taking over Olympus and ruling as a tyrant."
Percy winced. Surely this could've been done in private.
"However," Poseidon said, "My son does raise a fair point."
Percy glanced up at his father in shock. Poseidon was staring at him as he said, "We gods are corrupt. We sentenced Percy Jackson to Tartarus without any real proof except for a blurry security camera video. We ignored the fact that Percy's fatal flaw is loyalty, and condemned him anyway because we were too scared of what might happen. In doing this, we triggered his turn to evil, and created the very thing we were trying to stop. We have decided that this is the time for change."
The gods muttered in agreement. Poseidon continued, "Effective immediately, the original council of the gods will be disbanded, and a new council will be formed. This council will be led by three new gods. Together these gods will choose the other gods that will be on this council."
Poseidon looked at Percy again, "My son will be one of these gods."
Murmuring echoed throughout the crowd. Percy understood why. Had Poseidon gone mad? He was the Tyrant King! He should be punished, not rewarded. Poseidon ignored the murmuring.
"Rise, my child," Poseidon said. Percy slowly rose to his feet.
"You are now Perseus, the God of Change."
Percy felt power flood into him. His chains evaporated. He felt himself grow in size. Demigods all around looked away as he became his true form, before shrinking back down to normal size. Percy looked up at his father, "Thank you."
Poseidon smiled, but it quickly faded, "As part of your punishment, after the changes have been implemented, you will sleep for one hundred years. The other part of your punishement is that you will not be allowed to choose another to go with you to godhood."
Percy's elation faded. One hundred years? By the time that was over, everyone he knew in life would be dead.
You deserve it, he told himself, be happy that you were not killed.
Poseidon turned back to the crowd, "All hail Perseus, God of Change!"
The crowd echoed Poseidon's call.
"Thalia Grace!" the god of the sea called, "Step forward."
Thalia stepped forward nervously. Poseidon smiled at her, "You are now Thelia, Goddess of Peace."
Thalia's body began to grow, glowing and changing. Her spiky black hair grew into a short bob. The lieutenants band on her brow morphed into a glittering tiara atop her hair. Her black punk clothes changed to a grey chiton. A staff appeared in her hand with a peace symbol resting on top of it. Then she shrunk back to normal size. She turned and handed her lieutenants band to Artemis, "It has been a pleasure serving you, my lady."
Poseidon turned to Nico, "Nico di Angelo, step forward!"
Nico stepped forward.
"You are now Nicos, God of fair Judgement."
Nico also changed to his true form. His hair grew shoulder-length, his eyes turned pitch black. Black feathered wings sprouted from her back. His clothes turned into a black chiton. Then he shrunk back down to normal size.
"Thelia and Nicos," Poseidon adressed the new gods, "You may each choose one companion to bring with you to godhood."
Thalia turned to Reyna, "Will you join me?"
Reyna smiled and nodded. Thalia grinned, "Then you are Reya, Goddess of Weaponry."
Reyna grew to her true form and then shrunk back to normal size.
Nico walked up to Will, "Will you join me?"
Will nodded, "Yes."
Nico smiled, "Then you are Willas, God of Childbirth."
Poseidon stood, "So it is done. Gods, now is the time for you to work together and to choose which gods will be on your council."

A/N: I do not ship Thalia and Reyna together. They are just good friends.
