Percy couldn't believe Annabeth. She hadn't even let him explain! She blindly followed the gods and when he finally found his way back to earth, she didn't even listen to him! He stormed into his new quarters on Olympus to find Leah sitting on his bed.
"Are you alright," she asked.
"I'm fine," he growled in response. She raised and eyebrow and shifted so she looked exactly like him.
"I'm fine," she said in a perfect imitation of his voice. He winced at the expression she was reflecting. She shifted back to herself, "Girl problems?"
He huffed a laugh, "You could say that."
She grinned, "Is it "You haven't seen me in four years" girl problems or more like, "You just killed the King of the gods" girl problems?"
"The second one," Percy admitted, "She doesn't understand anything."
Leah laughed, then she lowered her voice, "You're really not going to summon Gaea?"
He frowned, "Why would I let her destroy my home? Our home?"
Leah smiled appreciatively, "Thank you, Percy. I don't say that often, but thank you."
He sat down next to her and put his arm over her shoulder. Leah had a tragic backstory. Her father had known who her mom really was, and he was so proud when she manifested some magic. But one night monsters had attacked her house, killed her Dad, and stolen her away. They took her to Tartarus, and experimented on her until she became the shapeshifter she was now. But despite all that, she hadn't broken.
"So," Leah pulled out of the hug, "Athena went to the cyclops forges to get you a crown."
Percy choked out a laugh, "A what now?"
Leah shrugged, "Zeus was a king, but he ruled with others by his side. Athena decided you needed a crown, so that people see you as the one and only King."
 Percy scoffed, "That's ridiculous."
Leah laughed, "I know."
An iris message popped up in front of them. Percy sat up straight, "Mom!"
Sally Jackson looked like she'd been crying. Her eyes were puffy and wet, and her tears had left streaks down her face.
"Is it true?" Sally demanded. Percy tensed, and Leah took his hand in comfort. Percy took a deep breath before saying, "I killed Zeus if that's what you're referring to."
Sally burst out in tears.
"Hey," Percy said, "Let me explain. I'll bring you to Olympus."
"Are you working for Gaea?" Sally asked. Percy shook his head, "She thought I was, but I'm not."
"Okay, I'll let you explain."
Percy smiled and flashed out, arriving at Camp Half-Blood instantaneously. Sally yelped. A little four year old peaked curiously out from behind her mother.
"Daddy!" the four year old yelled, "There's a man and Mommy's screaming!"
Paul came out and he gasped when he saw Percy.
"Um, hey Paul," Percy said, "I'm taking you guys to Olympus."
He took his Mom's hand, and reached out his other for Paul. His step-dad looked at him suspiciously.
"Please, Paul," Sally said, and Paul stepped forward to take Percy's hand.
"Come here Estelle," Sally said to her little daughter. Estelle nervously came forward and took her Mom's hand.
Chiron burst into their room.
"Stop!" He yelled, drawing a sword. Before he could lunge forward, however, Percy flashed out. They arrived at Olympus, and Paul ran into the bathroom, vomit noises following shortly. Leah stood from the bed, "Um, Perc. You left the Iris message open."
Percy turned to where Chiron was staring at him through the message.
"Hey Chiron," Percy greeted his old mentor.
"You're immortal," the centaur noted. Percy nodded, "Yep, so you trying to kill me would've failed terribly."
"And you would've killed me," Chiron concluded. Percy frowned, "I wouldn't kill you unless you outright challenged me to a duel. If you just ran me through, I would've disappeared with your sword in my chest, then pulled it out and sent it back to you."
"Why are you doing this Percy?" Chiron said. Percy sighed, "All I did was rid the world of a few idiots who think they're the bosses, yet everyone seems to think I'm suddenly hell bent on destroying the world! That is Gaea, and I deliberately didn't wake her so that she wouldn't destroy the world! I like the world!"
"Mr. D. told me you sent most of the gods to Tartarus."
Percy shrugged, even as Sally gasped, "I merely did exactly what they did to me, minus the nullifying chains. Those were a pain in the butt."
"Annabeth is in tears."
"I tried to explain to her, but she just got someone to shoot me!"
"You killed Leora."
"Who?"
"A child of Apollo who was on guard duty in the trees when you showed up."
"I was actually aiming for her leg. Apparently being a god doesn't mean I get good aim."
"You told Annabeth that anyone who crossed you would die."
Percy sighed and swiped through the message. Chiron was really annoying him. He turned back to Sally, Paul (who had returned from vomiting in the bathroom) and Estelle. The little girl stepped forward, "Who are you?"
He knelt down to her height, "Hey. I'm your big brother. I'm Percy."
Her eyes widened and she looked up at her mom. Sally nodded, and Estelle turned back to gaping at Percy, "Mommy said you died!"
"Mommy thought I did," Percy replied, "But I didn't."
Estelle reached forward and Percy tensed as she stroked her hand across the scars on his forehead. Then she wrapped her little arms around him. He hugged her back. After she let go, he turned to Leah, "Could you go play with Estelle for a bit?"
Leah nodded. The shapeshifter turned to the little girl, "Do you wanna go play dress-up?"
Estelle grinned, "Can I Mommy?"
Sally smiled, "Yes sweetie."
Estelle yelped in excitement and went and grabbed Leah's hand, "Do you have princess costumes?"
"I think I can find something for you."
Once they were gone, Percy turned back to his parents, "Maybe you should sit down."
Paul and Sally walked over to his bed and.
"Do you want me to order some coffee or something."
Sally shook her head, "Just explain."
Percy took a deep breath and launched into an explanantion.
