BLACKPINK's Yuri announces her new collaboration with GUCCI
On the late afternoon of August 15th, the youngest member announced the commercial release of a new fragrance that would carry her name in collaboration with the famous brand.
The online shop released a few further informations about GUCCI x YURI 'White Notes Fragrance'.
The shop announced that the perfume could be pre-ordered starting from August 22nd and the official commercial release in the stores in Asia and Europe would be from August 31st, meanwhile the American stores will start selling the perfume from September 3rd.
Following the news, Yuri made an instagram live stating a few other facts about her upcoming fragrance.
'I've been working on this with the management or a few months, it actually started in February when they wanted me to promote a different perfume but someone was like "Why not make a new one" and from there on it escalated quickly and before even realizing it i had a meeting to start thinking about the fragrance.'
The idol shared how the idea of a new fragrance was born and added:
'At first, I wasn't sure it would be a great idea, but then - talking with my manager - they said it would be really cool to create something new, so I agreed and we started by deciding the central theme of the whole thing. I said I really wanted the fragrance to have either a woody scent or a marine one to be fresh and keep vivid the memory of summer.'
Although the announcement of the perfume, no further informations were released - this meaning the price and the physical aspect of the fragrance are still unknown.
