The reason why Yuri's promotions didn't last as much as fans expected
On April 2nd, BLACKPINK's Yuri made a combck with her second EP Like Old Times and released the music video for the title track of the album 34+35.
As Rosé debuted the previous month and promoted her solo song on music shows for over a month, fans were angry when YG suddenly announced that Yuri's promotions would last only for two weeks.
On April 12th, Yuri made a live on Instagram announcing that the promotions for her comeback would be short and she apologized to fans for it.
Fans were frustrated at the fact the idol had to apologize and trended on Twitter #YGtreatYuriBetter. (A/N lol sadly it's nothing new for blinks on the bird app)
To add fuel to the matter, kmedias started addressing the thing as suspicious and many Knetzs claimed the girl was pregnant and that was the reason for her short promotions.
This angered fans even more as the matter was getting out of hand and asked the company to take action and protect their idol and her image. YG Entertainment immediately reacted as the rumors didn't stop and said they would take legal action.
This being said, the four reports under Dispatch are rumored to have been sued by YG Entertainment for their malicious news regarding Yuri.
To shut down the rumors, YG Entertainment released an official statement addressing the truth regarding Yuri's promotions.
"Hello, this is YG Entertainment. We're currently very worried about Yuri and the malicious rumors that have been spread over the past few days.
Yuri will in fact take a short break from her activities as a soloist due to her immediate eye surgery scheduled soon. Thank you."
Fans are aware of the fact Yuri suffers is short-sighted and wears many times glasses, as already proven by her airport pictures and the rare times she does a live to interact with fans.
At this point fans demanded an official apology from Dispatch and the four reporters who spread the rumors. So far none of them made any official statement.
Fans are also worried about Yuri's condition as she's scheduled to start filming soon for The Penthouse: War In Life season 3.
