Fans speculate it's done in order to be the direct parts to announce it before any other source can.

Still, blinks are not so happy as recently YG still hasn't give any confirmed date baout the comeback but has only talked about the upcoming 'global project'. Also other YG artists are confirmed to be having comebacks, meanwhile BLACKPINK still has no comeback. (I'm so tired of this tbh)
On the other hand, there are unsure reviews from SM, since EXO's Chen wedding announcement and RED VELVET's Wendy injury of the year end award.
Anyway, both companies agreed to make Naver release an article regarding BLACKPINK's Yuri and NCT's Jaemin relationship.
YG stated: 'We are announcing today one of our artists relationship. Yuri of the girl group BLACKPINK has been dating Jaemin of NCT for the past seven months and they have good feeling towards each other. We wish them happiness.'
Meanwhile SM released a shorted statement: 'We wish all the happiness for Jaemin (of NCT) and Yuri of BLACKPINK.'
Fans seem a little confused to how this could happen but looking back they can get the evidences they need.
In 2019 Yuri attended NCT DREAM's concert in Seoul alongside Jaehyun, another member of NCT.
Fans speculate the two were introduced thanks to Jaehyun or Jungwoo to each other, as Yuri is said to be close with them.
