BLACKPINK's Yuri is the most influential person in the fashion industry in 2022
The BLACKPINK maknae has been a hot topic in the music industry for the past weeks after the announcement of her pregnancy.
But while fans are worried for a potential group comeback expected to have in August, they are also wondering what Yuri is gonna do for the Paris Fashion Week.
Yuri officially debuted as a model in September 2021 walking for Versace, after this she also took part in various fashion shows in New York, Milan and Paris in early 2022, walking for brand like Valentino Garavani, OFF-WHITE, Yves Saint Laurent and more.
The idol has been the House Brand Ambassador for Versace since 2018, following the mega hit DDU-DU DDU-DU by BLACKPINK.
And she also became the only House Brand Ambassador for Valentino Garavani and Christian Louboutin in 2021.
Yuri is also known for being one of the biggest Global Ambassador for Swarovski and having collaborated multiple times with Rolex.
Fans also recall her short term contact with Louis Vuitton in 2019, which appearently didn't work out well and Yuri eventually didn't renew anymore in 2021.
But Yuri was also known for attending some of the biggest fashion shows since her debut with BLACKPINK, way before actually working with Versace for the first time in 2018.
Yuri was the first BLACKPINK member to attend a fashion show, starting with Dior, Givenchy and Tommy Hilfiger in 2017, as well as OFF-WHITE in both 2017 and 2018.
To make her the biggest name in the fashion industry in 2022 was not only her debut on the runway, but also her opening at the Met Gala as invited by Versace, marking both her first opening of the event and her first attendance ever, and she has also been very active in ads for all the brands she's currently working with.
Two of the most influential names in the fashion industry mentioned her recently:
First Anna Wintour was asked before the start of the Met Gala if she had big expectations for the event, aside saying she was sure the night would be unforgottable, she also said she was looking forward to the opening of it, saying Donatella Versace herself has been praising the most recent House Brand Ambassador of Versace.
Also Bernard Arnault, one of the founders of the French holding multinational corporation and conglomerate LVMH, spoke many times about Yuri and his interest in working again with her in the fashion field.
