Cedric's POV

I feel the howl build in my chest before it erupts from my mouth loud and clear. I feel strong, powerful. I feel like I could take over the world!

I run through my territory but something feels off. Soon I see my uncle join me. I try to mind link him but it won't work. He growls at me and pounces. We roll around a bit before I pin him. He snaps his jaws at my face before he takes a whiff of my scent and shifts.

"Cedric?" He asks slack jawed. I get off of him and shift back.

"Yea Unk what was that about?" I respond.

"You're an Alpha." He says and I roll my eyes.

"Yea, we knew this was coming. Well now I know what my birthday is!" I joke with him but his straight face makes me stop. "What's wrong Unk?"

"It's time we find your father." He tells me and I sigh again.

"He's back home I'll go get him." Why can't he just tell me what's wrong? I don't need my daddy here I'm an adult dang it!

"No your birth father." He says and I stop in my tracks holding my hands in tight fists.

"I want nothing to do with that low life." I growl. "He hurt my Ma and never showed any interest in me so why should I care about him?"

"You're an Alpha, Cedric." He says again and I growl. Why does he keep saying that?

"What's your point Unk?!" I yell at him.

"Can't you feel it nipote I'm still Alpha of this pack. Which means your father..." He explains but I cut him off.

"My father is the Alpha of another pack... and I just took his power."

Alpha Edmund's POV

"18 years 5 months ago think Eddy!" Samuel yells.

"I don't know!" I respond.

"Isn't that around the time Danny dragged us to that brothel?" Gerald my Gamma says and I nod.

He's right. That has to be it! We were at a meeting in the northern region and that idiot Danny convinced us that it was a good idea. I don't really remember the girl tho... I remember she was quiet, beautiful... but she was a prostitute! How am I supposed to figure out where she is now!

This looks so bad! It hurt my standing with the other Alphas that I was a man whore but fathering a bastard and that child being my heir!...

I missed 18 years of my own son's life! Why didn't she tell me!? I would have looked out for him! I was probably just another John to her... I bet she didn't even know my name.

"You okay Eddy?" Sam asks and I shake my head wiping my eyes from the tears I just realized were falling.

"I have another kid... I don't even know his name... 18 years and this is how I find out! He probably hates me!... I hate me..." I mumble the last bit. I can't believe I let my son grow up without a father.

"We'll figure it out Eddy. I'm sure he'll be happy to meet you. I mean come on! He grew up a prostitute's kid and will now be a member of an Alpha bloodline. It's an upgrade. Once he gets to know you I'm sure you'll be able to make up for the first 18 years." Sam says and I sigh.

"Sure, yea, your right. I can make it up to him! I'm not a terrible guy. I've made mistakes but I've always loved my family and that includes him." I smile. Maybe this will work out.

"That's all well and good but we still need to find the boy." Gerald chimes in.

"Any helpful suggestions then?" I growl.

"Yup!" He pops the p turning his laptop so I can see it. It is open to my email. I'll change my password later.

"Dear Alphas,

It has come to my attention that one of you has recently lost his position. If this is you I have your son and heir. Come to my pack house in peace within the next 7 days to meet with us or we will hunt you down you rapist bastard.

"Rapist bastard." I read the words out loud and gulp.

"This may be harder than we thought." Sam tells me and I nod.

Alpha Raymond POV

"Well I sent out the email." I say as my Beta paces the floor.

"I'm gonna kill him! As soon as I see him he is dead! He's not an Alpha any more so it should be easy!" He growls.

"Calm down dad. You can't kill him. He needs to keep running his pack because I'll tell you right now I ain't about to do it." Cedric tells him and he nods.

"Nipote, you do realize what ever pack he comes from you are now the Alpha. It is your pack. He has no authority to run it." I tell him and he growls.

"He can have it back! I don't care!" He yells and I sigh.

"You don't really have a choice Cedric."
