Zane POV
I'm so proud of my boy. The school hasn't called, good or bad, and I'm on my way to pick him up now. To be honest I kinda expected him to call within the first hour.
The pick up line is monstrous! I'm thinking I'm gonna pick him up in wolf form from now on. Daily runs are good for a pup right? It would at least let me skip this traffic jam!
Finally I can see the school and... oh heck no!
I jump out of my car and run over to the fighting pups.
"Cedric!" I yell as I pull him off the bloodied boy. "What are you thinking!?"
My pup turns in my arms so he is looking at me.
"He hit me first! He's been on me all day and I ignored him! You know how hard that was?! I kept my hands to myself until he punched me!" He frantically explains. "Please don't punish me. I... I... its not my fault." His yelling turns to sobs and I hold him to my chest.
"We'll discuss this with your uncle later. Go get in the car pup." I tell him as I set him on his feet.
I walk over to check on the other boy as Cedric heads to the car. Its not a pretty sight. When that boy's claws come out its dangerous. I mind link the pack doctor to get here quick. I take off my shirt to stop the bleeding.
Cedric's POV
I'm dead. I'm so dead. Zane is gonna kill me. He sent me to the car alone. The mean boy hasn't moved. I can see him on the ground as Zane kneels over him. I tried so hard to be good! Please say the guy is okay. I wanted him to stop I don't want him dead. I'm no better than the warden.
I start breathing heavy as my body shakes. What did I do?! I rock back and forth in my seat just trying to breathe as my vision gets black spots.
"Cedric! Come on pup breathe!" I hear as I am pulled out of my seat. "Please breathe for me... in... out... in... out..." he coaches me and I slowly calm down.
"I didn't... I mean... I... he..." I try to speak but can't form a sentence.
"Its okay... I know he started it." Zane says and I shake my head.
"I.. is... okay?... Dead?... bad." I can't do this did I kill him?
"He will be okay. The doc's got him. He will heal. Good thing he is a wolf... let's get you home pup." Zane assures me and I can breathe again.
Alpha Raymond's POV
As Alpha I am informed when any pack member is involved in a fight. I am informed of any issues at the local schools as well. I didn't expect to get a call involving my little nephew on his first day.
The boy he fought, Weston, however is a frequent flyer in my office. The ten year old likes to pick on anyone smaller than him. He's your typical bully.
I told Zane to bring Cedric to my office once he had Weston sorted with the doc. We need to figure out how to reign the little guy in. He nearly killed the kid. Bully or not I can't have Cedric going off like that.
Knock knock knock
"Enter." I call out knowing my beta is on the other side of the door.
"Hey Ray." Zane greets me as he carries Cedric into my office. I nod to him before focusing on the boy.
"Lil C I need you to look at me bud." I say to the boy who has his head firmly rooted in my Beta's neck. "Come on we need to talk nipote."
With that he looks up at me with teary eyes.
"No punishment. Please Unk! Not my fault!" He begs and I stand up. I walk over to the pup and take him in my arms.
"I know buddy... but we need to figure out a way to help you with your anger. You could have killed that boy." I tell him.
"I'm sorry!" He sobs holding me around the neck.
"Shhhh... I know pup. I know." I whisper rocking him until he calms down. I sit him in a chair and crouch down in front of him. "I want to teach you to fight." I tell him and Zane hits my arm gesturing to the other side of the office. I sigh and follow him.
"Do you really think its a good idea to take a volatile kid that is prone to violence and teach him how to be better at it?" He growls softly.
"I think teaching him to fight will teach him control and maybe next time he fights he won't tear his opponent to shreds. Its the near shifting that's causing the most damage. If we work with him we can control him and eventually help him control himself. Plus he will get some of his anger and frustration out in a safe environment." I explain.
"I guess its as good an idea as any. Saying don't fight unless someone else starts it only made him lash out harder on this Weston kid." He concedes.
"I think he should be home schooled this year as well. We can get a tutor to work him through the Kindergarten and first grade curriculum while we work on his aggression. By this time next year maybe he'll be ready for school." I suggest and Zane nods.
I know he wants Cedric to have a normal life but I have to consider the safety of all the pups.
"That's probably for the best." He sighs... "but you're telling him."
"Don't worry brother I got it." I pat his shoulder and return to the pup.
"Alright CC." I start getting his attention. "You are gonna go to school here in the pack house this year and Zane and I are gonna train you." I tell him straight.
"Sooo... I get to hang out with you? Cool!" He grins and I chuckle.
"Make sure to tell me how cool it all is tomorrow pup." I smile knowing he's gonna hate it.
