BEGHe held my hand tightly as we walked two blocks from Dr. Hall's clinic. Josie and Mang Cardo were behind us. Josie suddenly bumped into my back.
"Josie! Mag-ingat ka naman. Tinamaan mo na si Miss." Pinagalitan ni Mang Cardo ang kanyang alagang pasaway.
"Sorry, Miss." Agarang humingi ng paumanhin ni Josie sa akin.
"Sa kakalinga mo 'yan kung saan-saan." Patuloy na sita ni Mang Cardo sa kanya.
"Josie relax. Baka atakehin sa puso si Mang Cardo dahil sa'yo. We'll be here for a long time. You will have time to explore." Naiiling na pinagsabihan ni Mark si Josie.
"Sorry po talaga, Sir." She slightly bowed at him in apology.
"Doon ka na muna sa loob ng complex magsimulang mag-ikot. Marami kang pwedeng tingnan doon." Mark told her before we all turned to go back.
He brought us to the central park and showed me the huge aviary. I loved the sound of the birds. Even the breeze of air was surprisingly fresh for a place that is in the middle of the city.
A handful of people were jogging down the path. Others sat on the benches around the park. There were some who sat on the green grass to play with their children.
He pointed at the direction of the entertainment center and told Josie she could start having fun there. She was hesitant to leave my side, but Mark assured her I will be with him. He gave her a card she could use. She refused, afraid of the black card he handed to her. He gave her a few bills instead.
"Make sure you know how to get back to our place!" I reminded her kasi baka mawala siya sa laki ng lugar na ito.
"Opo! Magtatanong din po ako sa mga gwardiya at mga empleyado." Kumaway siya bago umalis.
"Baka gusto niyo pong sumama kay Josie, Mang Cardo?" I turned to him but he refused.
We were joined by the two bodyguards who brought the vehicles back. We walked back into our main building and he brought me to his office located a floor below the staff and security.
"Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Carvajo." Bati ng babae sa reception desk directly located close to the elevator.
"Good morning, Emma." Mark greeted her back.
"Good morning, Emma." I mimicked him use her name and gave her a smile.
A few upholstered chairs are propped against the wall. A wide rectangular sofa is at the very center of the huge area outside his office. It also has a wide wooden table at the center. It has some magazines on top of it. One magazine caught my attention because he is in the cover of it.
I pulled my hand away from him and went to the table to grab the magazine.
"Oh my gawd! Ang gwapo!" Bulalas ko sabay taas ng magazine para itabi sa mukha niya.
Those who heard laughed. His ears started turning red before his whole face followed. He is so adorable when shy.
"My baby is blushing!" I grabbed both his cheeks and pulled his face down. I tiptoed to give his lips a quick kiss.
"Please stop it. Matagal na 'yan." He tried to grab the magazine away from me.
"But I want to see!" I immediately held it away from him.
"Fine. Bring it with you." He held my hand again and we moved toward the huge doors of his office.
Mang Cardo and the other two guys sat on the chairs.
