STUBBORN

So close... So damn close to smacking your boyfriend who's shaking his head furiously at you as you tried your best nursing him since he had a fever. "Come on Satoru!" you growled as he whipped his head to the side ignoring you. Haruichi and Sawamura who went with you were looking back and forth waiting for something to happen. You glared at him and sighed. "Why are you so stubborn?" you muttered. "It's your fault to begin with" you added. "Who the hell jogs under the pouring rain??" you said looking down your hands which were being held by your boyfriend who didn't want to drink the medicine. Furuya just stayed quiet which made your temper flare up.

Seido lost to Inashiro and from that time, your boyfriend had been pushing himself by practicing. Miyuki would be telling him off and he'd stop but when the catcher isn't around or was busy with his own training or helping Sawamura with his training, Furuya would train by himself and you'd often worry about him seeing he's been pushing himself lately and that could lead to an injury. It has been pouring for days now and practice was moved to the covered gym since there were a lot of people, it was pretty crowded.

Furuya decided to just run a bit later when the rain stops but to no avail, it was still pouring hard. Sighing, he grabbed a hoodie and started his run without anyone knowing of course. You were done with your club and decided to go to your boyfriend to help him with today's homework since he was obviously sleeping throughout class again and you were worried about his grades slipping. Packing your things and bidding farewell to your teammates, you began to walk towards the covered gym where the baseball team was currently practicing.

As you arrived, you looked for your boyfriend but you can't seem to spot him. "(f/n)-chan?" Tojo called behind you as you turned your head. "Hey Tojo-kun! Have you seen Furuya by chance?" you asked as he shook his head. "Sorry but I just got here as well. Let me ask Kominato-kun" he said as he jogged over to the pink haired male as he shook his head. Tojo looked over to you and made an 🙅‍♂️. You nodded and mouthed 'thank you' before leaving and looking around for your boyfriend. Since it was Sawamura's turn with Miyuki, your boyfriend either skipped practice again or wanted to train alone.

Roaming around, you didn't see him. "Where did he go?" you muttered. You head splashing sounds and grinned. "What idiot would do roadwork when it's pouring this ha-" your eyes widened as you saw your boyfriend. "What the hell?!" you shrieked. "SATORU!!!!" you yelled as he froze and looked over to where you are. He paled seeing you glaring at him before getting ready to run. "You better come here or else I'll drag you here" you yelled as his eyes widened before jogging to you. As he reached you, you grabbed your unused towel and wiped him. "Why were you doing roadwork under the pouring rain?!" you growled as he avoided eye contact. "You'll get sick at this rate! Go back to the dorms and take a bath!" you said as he nodded bringing your towel. "I'll wait for you at the library. Okay? I'll help you with the homework" you said as his eyes sparkled and nodded.

As you arrived at the library, you sat down the farthest table and began to take out your book and paper as you slowly did your homework. Not long after, your boyfriend arrived with his book and paper. "Did you wait long?" he asked as you shook your head. "Let's finish this so you could rest" you smiled as he nodded opening his book as you both did your homework. You helped him in parts he couldn't understand and an hour passed as you finished your homework. He looks drained. You thought as you smiled seeing him looking lost from the homework you both finished. He placed his head on the table as you patted his hair. He sighed in content as you giggled. "Can I take a nap for a bit?" he asked as you nodded. "Please continue petting my head (f/n)... it feels... good...." He murmured before falling asleep.

Smiling at your boyfriend, you began to read a book that has currently got you hooked while petting his head. After almost an hour, the librarian was already announcing that she'll be closing the library in thirty minutes. You woke your boyfriend up and told him you two should go. He yawned and nodded. You both went back to the dorms after. "(f/n)-chan! Let's have dinner?" your roommate said as you nodded. "I'm so tired" you grumbled as she giggled. "Well, as your senior, I'll have to warn you that it would be more tiring when you're in your last year" she said as you groaned. "there are also rumors floating around that you are the next ace" she grinned as you rolled your eyes. "I don't want to tho? The pressure is suffocating" you said as she laughed.
