RECOVERY

The one thing that your boyfriend regretted the most was not taking his injury seriously. Now, his injury turned for the worst and he needed to rest his arm for the whole duration of his high school. It was devastating but thankfully, he could still be able to play in his college years to come. He is currently having a rehab session with his father and you were thinking of surprising him. You bought some of his favorite chocolate cake.

As you arrived at the hospital, you saw his dad coming out. "Hello Uncle. Is Yu still inside?" You hugged him and he returned your hug and patted your head. "Yes. He just finished his rehab session. You're going on a date today right?" He teased and you blushed. His father laughed and asked you to have dinner with them later since it's an important day today. You were confused at first but then he said Chris will be the one to deliver the good news. You nodded and you both went your separate ways.

Going up to the room they were using, Chris was there packing his bag. You placed your bag and cake silently on the floor and tiptoed towards him. Suddenly you hugged him roaming your hands along his abs which caused him to flinch and elbow you. You fell to the floor and groaned. "(F/n)?! What the hell?! Are you okay?" He crouched down and checked you if you're okay. You made an 👍 sign and smiled. "I got to touch your abs so I'm good" he flicked your forehead and sighed. "I never knew my girlfriend could be so perverted" he said extending a hand for you to grab.

Giggling, you accepted his hand and he pulled you up. "What are your plans today?" He asked picking up his bag. "Let's just go home and watch a movie. Your dad told me to have dinner with you guys later" he nodded and grabbed your hand. "Let's go then" you both walked towards the exit and you could hear the nurses whispering about how cool and handsome your boyfriend is. You rolled your eyes and Chris chuckled. "Jealous?" You scoffed. "Me? Jealous? Huh" you pouted. "Very" he laughed. "Not funny Yu!" He then leaned down and kissed you. "There's no need. You're the only one for me" you blushed and smacked his arm gently.

He chuckled and put his arm on your shoulder. You decided to walk home since the hospital and your apartment was quite near just 10 minutes walk. You both talked about how is it going with the baseball club, how Sawamura was doing and so on. You finally arrived home and you told Yu to go and shower first while you prepare some iced tea to go with the cake you just bought. He nodded and went to the bathroom. You went to your room to change first. Grabbing Chris' t-shirt and some shorts, you changed into them and went back down to prepare the iced tea. You heard the door open. "(F/n) are my t-shirts still at your drawer?" You giggled. "Yeah. I wore one. The other black tee you left is inside my drawer just find it" you answered back and received an 'ok'

You brought the tray with the cakes and iced tea on it as Chris went out your room with a towel to dry his hair. You rolled your eyes. "Yu come sit here first. I'll dry your hair. How many times have I told you to use the blower in the bathroom. You never listen" you were nagging again and he found it cute. The way your eyebrows scrunch up together and how your tone was strict but soft. He sat down and mumbled a sorry. "You don't look sorry at all" you pouted and he looked back and gave you a smirk. "I just love it when you dote on me like this" you gave him a smile and kissed his cheek. "Pick a movie while I dry your hair."

Nodding, he grabbed the remote and scrolled through the list of movies on your USB. "Have you watched The Meg yet?" He asked and you shook your head. "Then let's watch this." You agreed and finally his hair was a bit dry now so you decide to put the towel away and sat beside him on the sofa. "(F/n) let's pause the movie first. I need to tell you the good news" you nodded and looked at him. "My arm will be fully healed in 2 months" your tears started to fall. You hugged him tight as he moved you so that you're straddling him. "I'm so glad. Finally you can play the game you love. I'm so thankful. God finally answered my prayers" he hugged you tighter.
