Are Valentine's Day always this cringy? Is there a need for chocolate, roses or teddy bears? And couples littered everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE! You groaned as you see another couple kissing and not just those sweet short kisses but hot and heavy kisses. You were clingy to but not in public, like these horny teens.

"Is that necessary?" you grumbled and once you arrived at school, the students there were a lot more cringy. Who the hell would confess like this in public? you thought as you saw the "Will You Be My Girlfriend?" sign at the side as you walked in the school. The thing that made you stop in your tracks is that the people holding them are the baseball players with Miyuki Kazuya in the middle grinning at you like crazy.

"Finally she's here!" you heard your classmate, Kuramochi Youichi shout. "(f/n)-senpai! Please hurry" Sawamura begged you as your raised an eyebrow at them. "Hello there pretty little thang!" Miyuki said giving you a bouquet of roses as you furrowed your eyebrows at him. "What the hell is this??" you asked.

"My public confession" he grinned and took a knee. "Will you be my girlfriend, (l/n) (f/n)?" he smiled and held out a small box with a necklace inside. As you looked around, everyone was looking at the scene and waiting for your answer. Oh God, Kill me now... you thought as you looked back at Miyuki who had a huge grin on his face.

Flashback to when you were still a first year, you and Kuramochi had always been close. Why? He was the one who helped you when you were lost on the first day of school and No, it's not the "Oh he's so handsome, I fell in love with him at first sight" it was more of a "Damn, we can get along really well" He was the type to joke around and still be serious when time comes. Both of your personalities clicked at the first day. At that moment, an unbreakable friendship was born.

The two of you got to know each other more and were inseparable. You'd often be the one to give him his papers or give him your note book to copy since he sometimes misses class because of club activities. You support him in his games too which led to other people saying that you two were a couple in which you both looked at each other disgusted.

It's been a while since you've been delivering his notes to him and some members would take intrest in you. You were a beautiful girl but very hard to approach since you always have a resting bitch face but once they got to know you, they discovered that you were very shy but once you get to know people, you were a ball of energy just like a Kuramochi but female version.

Miyuki was smitten with you from the first time he saw you until the present. He tried to make moves on you but you just brush him off. The team would often laugh at how hard Miyuki is trying but never seems to succeed. Knowing that Miyuki is the type that other girls would chase, now, he is the one chasing you relentlessly.

At first, it annoyed the shit out of you but as time passed, you began to adapt to it and just brush him off but it all changed when you watched an official match with him playing. He really took your breath away and not to mention every time he'll hit a home run or manage to tag a player, he'd look at you and point your way. It's like a "This score/defense is for you" type of thing. You often laugh it off but when they won the semifinals, you cheered for him like crazy.

That's the start of you actually paying more attention to him until somewhere along the way, you fell in love with him. You were very vocal with what you want and don't want as you made it clear to him. You guys got to know one another and had a no label type of relationship and you were fine with that since you were waiting for him to just ask you out.

He wasn't the type to be okay with a no label type of relationship but since you were still pretty guarded around him, he waited for the right moment to make you officially his. Still, even If you weren't together officially, the both of you still went on dates, support one another and just doing couple things. Kuramochi even had enough of your PDA around him and just asked you both to hook up and stop making him the third wheel which you both laughed.

Now, back at the present, he was waiting for your answer as you felt butterflies in your stomach as you took a deep breath, "Yes. I'll be your girlfriend" you answered with a smile on your face as he jumped in joy and hugged you tight. "Finally!" he yelled as you couldn't help but laugh at him. "It's not like you're proposing or something" you smiled at him as he smirked. "Well, not now but soon" he said as you smiled and kissed his cheek. "Thank you for this cringy public confession" you laughed.

"You said to do what I want and I want to be very extra on our extra special day" he grinned as you looked at his teammates who wanted to just bolt out of there. "Thank you for giving in to your captain's selfish request" you said looking at them apologetically as they shrugged. "If it's for you (f/n)-senpain I'd gladly do it again" Sawamura said as Furuya nodded beside him.

"I'm glad you liked this surprise senpai" Haruichi said smiling at you as you nodded. "It's cute actually but..." you didn't finish when Kuramochi finished it for you. "Miyuki is being cringy AF it made my whole body itch" he grimaced at what his captain just did. "But knowing how Miyuki is..." Nori trailed off.

"It's understandable" you all said causing Miyuki to frown. "What does that mean?" he said as the warning bell rang. "Then this is our sign to run" Kuramochi said as he bolted away from the scene. "Hey! That's unfair!" The second years said as the other third years shake their head. "Hey!! Answer me! What does that mean?!" Miyuki said as you pulled him for a kiss on the lips and ran for it. "Hey..." he mumbled as he was left there alone.
