Just one more step and they're on their way to the Nationals. Tomorrow is their game against Inashiro and you were excited and nervous at the same time. You were sitting on the bench watching Yuki swing his bat. You smiled looking at your boyfriend. He finally stops and puts his bat down. Wiping his sweat with the his t-shirt showing his abs. Damn those abs. You were licking your lips. Gosh I'm such a pervert! You face palmed.

Standing up, you brought his sports drink and towel. "You done?" Giving him his drink, he answered with a nod. Drinking his sports drink and you wiping his sweat. "You should rest. You have a big game tomorrow." He nodded and smiled at you. "Then I'll take you home first." You nodded. You were at Yuki's place and it was a 5 minutes walk to your place.

You've been with him since you were in your second year in middle school. Now both of you are in your senior year in Seido. Your relationship was rocky at first but it gradually got better through time. After packing your stuff, you kissed his mom's cheeks and said good bye to his younger brother. "Mom I'll take (f/n) home" you both heard a 'take care' and went on your way.

His hand was holding yours and you giggled. "What?" He looked at you confused. "Before you couldn't even hold my hand and the first few months you held my hand, you were shaking. Now look at you. All grown up" a hearty laugh escaped your lips while Yuki chuckled.

"I guess so. Since you've been with me, I've been doing my very best in everything I do. You've always got my back when things go wrong and you've always stood by me through good things and bad." He squeezed your hand and you looked up at him. "Thank you (f/n)"

You pulled him down and gave him a soft kiss on the lips. "You know I'll always be here for you no matter what right? Through good thing or bad. I'll never leave you." Looking into his eyes, you gave him one last peck before you started walking again. It was silent until you arrived in front of your house.

"I'll see you tomorrow Yuki. I'll cheer for you and the team. Do your best Captain!" You smiled and waved him good bye. He gave you one of his rare smiles then he went on his way. You looked at his retreating form and smiled. Going into your home, you went straight to your room to rest a few minutes before taking a shower and went to bed.

*Time skip*

A few more minutes till the game starts. You were at the bleachers with the managers looking down at the team. Yuki was searching for you in the crowd. Finally he saw you sitting with the managers and smiled. You noticed him and gave him a little wave. He nodded his head and went to the team. They were huddled up together and began their roar.

With that the game started. It was an all or nothing game. Both team did their best to hit and have a home run. Both aces did their best to get a strike and both captains lead their team to victory. It was Seido's lead until Sawamura threw a deadball. That's where everything went downhill.

In the end Inashiro won the game. Both teams had tears in their faces. Those with happy tears and those with sad ones. You were shocked in your seat as tears keep falling. What happened? You were confused and lost at the same time. Until you were snapped back to reality. You searched for Yuki and saw him trying to hold back his tears but few tear drops escapes his eyes.

You went down and met the team. They were lost too. Still not grasping what happened a while ago. You saw your boyfriend talking to the coach and waited for him. As he saw you, he walked towards you and hugged you tight. "It's alright I'll wait for you. Go to the team first" he nodded and kissed your forehead.

"(L/n)-senpai. Let's go back ahead" Haruno, one of the managers called you and you nodded. Giving the team one last glance, you made your way out the stadium and off to school. As you arrived, you sat down the tree that you and Yuki would have lunch at. The breeze was warm and you closed your eyes. Trying to think about what to say to your boyfriend.

You were deep in thought when suddenly someone wrapped his arms around your waist and buried his nose in your neck. You already know who it is, you just patted his head and stayed silent. You can feel something hot glide down your neck. You pulled away from his grasp and faced him. Yuki's face was a mess. His eyes were red and puffy, his lips were opening and closing not sure what to say and he was clenching his trembling hands.

You pulled him into a hug and he began to breakdown. Staying silent and just gave him comforting pats in the head and kisses in the temple. You waited for him to calm down but you, yourself had tears in your eyes. You lost track of time just sitting there hugging him. He finally calmed down and kissed your forehead. You gave him a sad smile.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't take you to the Nationals with the team" he muttered and you sighed. "You idiot. There's nothing to be sorry about." You pulled his chin so that he's looking at you. "Seido is strong but in games, there is no guarantee you'll win but there is also no guarantee you'll lose. I know it's hard for you right now and it hurts seeing you like this." You wiped the tears that were slowly falling down his cheek.

"You are a great captain that led his team to where they are now. It's not the end Yuki, it's just the beginning. I'm here. I'm not leaving you. I'm here to stay with you till the end." You kissed his forehead and placed your forehead against his. "It's going to be okay" he touched you cheeks and kissed your lips. "Thank you. Thank you (f/n)... For supporting me..."

Smiling down at the captain, you caressed his hair while he just hugged you tight. The sun has long set and the stars are up and shining brightly. He finally pulled away and stood up. "Let's go home (f/n)?" He pulled you up with him and you nodded.

The walk home was silent, he never let go of your hand. As you approached your house, you sighed. "I still don't want to leave you in that state" you muttered under your breath but your boyfriend heard it anyway. "I'm gonna be fine (f/n). I have you. So it's gonna be alright" you were at the front door when he pulled you into a tight hug again.

"I'm really not okay but I'll be soon." He whispered and you nodded your head. "I'm here for you every step of the way. Even if you stumble and fall, I know you're gonna stand back up stronger than ever" you said. he pulled away and gave you a smile.

"Thank God I have you... Iloveyou (f/n)" he caresses your cheek and you melt into his hand. "Iloveyoutoo" he gave you one last kiss in the lips and went on his way. You went in your house as he went back home.

I'm glad I met her and I'm so happy she's by my side even if I'm a mess. I may stumble right now but I'll get back stronger. Thank you for being my number one supporter (f/n). Iloveyousomuch.
