RELATIONSHIPS

Few weeks had passed and you grew closer to the first year catcher, Okumura Koushu, he looks scary and hard to approach but in reality he's sweet and caring. Some say it's only because it's you but for others he is still cold and distant. You'll just roll your eyes and say that they don't make an effort to get to know him, that's why he comes off cold and distant.

Thankfully his relationship with your brother got better and they even made a promise. Which you thought was cute. Your relationship with him deepened too. Your classmates would tease you to just go out with each other. You'll blush and just laugh it off but you can't deny that you actually had feelings for him. Okumura on the other hand only realized his feelings recently, thanks to his best friend Seto.

You joined the softball team as a pitcher aswell. After graduating from middle school, you were the captain and ace of the team plus you were invited as one of the pitchers for the japan team. A lot of schools wanted you but you turned them all down and went to Seido where your brother is. Practice was harsh but nothing you couldn't handle. After practice, you'd often jog or practice your batting.

One time the famous catcher, Miyuki Kazuya, even accompanied you for practice. You got a lot of praises coming from him and your brother would boast as well. Telling the team who are present that "she is the best female pitcher in Japan" you'd smack him out of embarrassment but a lot of them agreed. Not only have they heard rumors about your pitching but they personally saw it and concluded that you really are a force to be reckoned with.

They often ask you to pitch for them and you'd agree since it was extra practice for you. Just like your brother, your stamina is good. You even striked out all the Seido clean ups. Only Haruichi got a hit from you and it took him about ten tries. With Miyuki catching for you, you can exceed your limitations and trust that he could catch all your pitches. You've been holding your strength in pitching since only two catchers could catch your pitches and that was your former catcher and the catcher you're with during your time at the Japan team.

Now, Miyuki was added to the catchers who could catch your pitches without a hitch. Just like your brother, your pitches would change everytime you change your grip. Your specialties include sinker, straight and natural moving ball which you leveled up. You were a strong opponent, even close to Narumiya Mei's pitching. You have less power since you were a woman but you conquered that with your speed. The team always loved to hit your pitches since it's hard to hit. It gives them the motivation to work harder.

Practice ended for today and you bid your team goodbye. Going back to the dorms to leave your things and go on a run. You stretched again and started your little jog to the boy's field where they also just finished their training. Okumura promised you that for today, he'll be your partner since Miyuki also wanted to try hitting your pitches. You were excited to form a battery with him.

"(F/n)-chan! We'll start in a bit" Miyuki said and you nodded. Putting your towel and water bottle on one of the benches at the dugout. You took a deep breath and jogged again. This time your brother joining you with a rope and tire. You shook your head and giggled. "I'm gonna hit your pitches this time!" He said confidently and you smirked. You knew he was a lousy batter but if he bunts then it's another story. "If you can't, you'll have to treat me ice cream tomorrow." He smiled and nodded. "And no bunts" you said and he frowned.

"I'm not gonna bunt! I'm good at hitting balls now" you snickered "We'll see nii-chan" and with that you fastened your pace and went back to the dugout. You saw Okumura fixing his catcher's mask and you smiled. "Hey Kou" you said smiling and he blushed. "Hi (f/n)" he mumbled. "Let's do our best! Ok partner?" You said giving him a fist pump. You waited for him to return it and he blushed. "Yeah... let's do our best" with that he turned his back on you and you giggled. They're both the same alright. Partner huh... that sounds nice. Okumura thought as he went to the field.
