Reunited

-Chapter -12 - Framed picture -

8:45pm:

Adrien rested his chin on Nathalie's shoulders, his tears falling into her blazer, but it was the least of their concerns, she hugs him tightly. The both of them were still on the ground, hugging, neither of them wanting to separate from the other. Nobody else that was there with them decided to speak, they watched the two as tears came rolling out of their eyes. They've equally missed each other.

Nathalie's vision were blurred from the tears in her eyes, and when she looked ahead of her, her stares landed on Gabriel who appeared to be looking at her. She couldn't see very clearly, but she assumed that the little girl he was carrying could only be their daughter. Nathalie didn't want to think about it, so she closed her eyes, causing the tears to fall in her cheeks.

Adrien still hasn't calmed down, after a few more minutes. He had so many tears to cry, it was as if he suppressed crying for years, only to let them all out when he sees Nathalie again. Adrien is overcome with emotion, after all those years of hoping Nathalie would make a re-appearance in their life with his sibling, she was finally back.... right? she won't leave them...him... again?

Nathalie kissed the side of his head before she proceeds to rub her hand in his back calming him down. She understood that he was emotional at the moment, but Nathalie cares for Adrien just as much as she always had, she didn't want him to cry any longer. And once Adrien was able to calm himself, he pulls away from the hug and stares at her. Nathalie noticed that his eyes were red and swollen, it gave her flashbacks of when he begged her to stay that day.

Nathalie also noticed the tears streaming down his face, and so she wiped it off gently with her thumbs.

"I've missed you so much..." he looks into her beautiful bluebell eyes.

Nathalie showed him a small smile, "You have no idea how much I've missed you, Adrien..." she tells him, looking at his eyes.

"Please tell me you'll be staying here with us" Adrien says, Nathalie looks at Gabby, she was nodding.

She looked back at Adrien, "I- I can't sa-" Nathalie saw his forehead caressed.

"I will think about it...Adrien..."

No she won't. She said that for she didn't want Adrien to be upset when she tells him the truth, that she's only here to get Gabriella back. That's it.

Adrien simply gives her a nod.

Meanwhile, with Gabriel, he badly wanted just to run into Nathalie's arms and give her a hug that expressed how much he had missed her, but then he just couldn't do it. Instead, he approached her while carrying their daughter. Nathalie watched as he approach her, Gabriel then proceeds to extend his left hand offering it to assist her up the floor.

Nathalie looked at his hand for a moment and then back to him. Gabriel had a smile on his face.

~"avoid it"~ Nathalie tells herself, and gulps.

Nathalie saw how Gabriel looked at his hands and then to her. It wouldn't mean anything if she accepted it right? He's just helping her up.

And with that, Nathalie delicately places her right hand into his. Nathalie felt how warm Gabriel's hands were as soon as he closed them. He pulls her up, assisting her in standing. When she was off the floor, Gabriel does not let go of her hands. His eyes were on their hands, Nathalie's were on him, his thumb caress her fingers, and when Nathalie took noticed of what he was doing, she quickly pulls her hands off his and turns to her daughter.

Nathalie quickly took Gabby into her arms after she extended both of her arms out. Gabby wrapped her legs around her waist, she rested the side of her head next to Nathalie's neck, her hands were behind her neck, and Nathalie's right hand was on her hair and her left supported her.
