-Winter Morning-
-December 18, 2026-

Time passes, and today, after three months in prison, Gabriel Agreste comes home to his family.

Things have also differed with the Agreste/Sancoeur. Gabriella and Blaire are back at school, but not in the same school they were once put into. Nathalie made sure to choose a school where she was confident her daughter and niece would be treated fairly. Gabriella desperately wanted to go back to their former school, but when her mother told her that it was either a new school or being homeschooled, she decided not to argue anymore. And after more consideration, she realized her mother was correct, and relocating to a different school was probably for the best for her and Blaire anyway.

And there's one last thing that changed. The married couple, Adrien and Marinette, decided that it would be best if they temporarily moved back into the Agreste mansion because it not only saves Adrien from having to drive to the mansion and back to their apartment every day, but it also allows the two the chance to be there for Nathalie and Gabriella while Gabriel is away, just in case something were to happen.

After all, Amelie is still out there... in Australia, staying hidden. Turning oneself in had never occurred to her, but plotting revenge on Gabriel and Nathalie certainly had.

-Agreste Mansion-

The moment Gabriella woke up, she had the biggest smile on her face, knowing what today was. She then noticed that her mother's side of the bed was empty. When she turned to the clock on the nightstand, it read 10:40 am. Gabriella sprang out of bed and stretched. This was the latest she had ever slept in since returning to school.

After stretching, she opened the drawer and took out the calendar she'd been using to check off the dates and keep count of how many days remained till her father returned. Gabriella picked up the pen and crossed off yesterday's date before she hurried out of the bedroom.

When she stepped out of the bedroom, she noticed that Lucy and Nathaniel were busily cleaning the entire mansion, from the ceiling to the ground. She came down the stairs, and Lucy and Nathaniel didn't even notice her because of how concentrated they were on making sure the windows were clean. She noticed the mop on the side and began cleaning the floor, but then she heard her mother's voice calling for her, she looked up and saw Nathalie approaching her.

"Oh! Gabriella, we didn't even notice you there," Nathaniel said. "Blaire's upstairs," he added, and continued to spray the window and wipe it.

Gabriel gave her uncle a nod before speaking to her mother, Good morning, mama," Gabriella said then embraced her mother.

Once Gabriella looked up at her, Nathalie asked, "How was your sleep, my love?"

Gabriella smiled, "It was very good, mama," she answered, then looked around, "Can I help with something?" she asked her mom.

Nathalie shook her head, "That is very kind of you, love, but you should go get dressed first, have breakfast, and later in the afternoon, we will go pick up Sabine and Tom."

"Okay!" Gabriella said, breaking the hug, and she ran to her bedroom to pick out her clothes and do her morning routine.

Due to the little girl's excitement, she had even forgotten to do her morning routine the moment she woke up!

After Nathalie inquired whether Nathaniel and Lucy needed any help, she heard her son shouting for her name from the dining room.

When she began to approach the door, Adrien and Marinette came out of it.

"Adrien, Marinette, is there a problem?" Nathalie questioned the two, while walking towards them.

"Mom, I just got off the phone with the police, and they informed me that someone from Townsville, Australia emailed them, claiming to have seen Amelie. The cops are looking into it," Adrien informs his mother.
