-Flash back from yesterday (sunday)--trigger warning⚠️⚠️⚠️
Nathalie has been ill for days. Her lower abdomen has been cramping, she's felt lightheaded and weak. Gabriel told her that they needed to visit a doctor, but she resisted, insisting everything was ok. However, when she discovered that her pregnancy symptoms had all but vanished, and she began to detect a few spots of bl*od in her underwear, she didn't think twice when Gabriel demanded they needed to see the doctor right away.
When they came to the hospital, Mrs. Roche, their doctor, was out of town. But as she mentioned a few days back, Dr. Laurent will be there in place for her until she comes back. After she saw Nathalie and she was able to explain to the doctor what had happen, dr. Laurent quickly gave her a pelvic exam to examine her, and looking for the cause of bleeding. She also used an ultrasound to check on the baby's heartbeat, and the development. Nathalie had a variety of additional test, including bl*od test, and transvaginal ultrasound, to make picture of her reproductive organs for the doctor to examine in greater detail.
After several tests, Nathalie and Gabriel walked out of the hospital feeling devastated and fearful after the doctor informed them that the baby inside Nathalie's stomach was weak and proceeded to diagnosed her with threatened ab*rtion, which can continue to happen if they are not being careful. The doctor mentioned that there was nothing she can take to prevent it, but she suggested ways to lower the risk, advice her to get plenty of bed rest, as well as inject*d Nathalie with progesterone to raise the level of hormone.

Nathalie walked up the stairs into their bedroom as soon as they returned to the mansion. She was trying to keep her composure and keep from crying, but as soon as Gabriel sat next to her and held her, telling her that everything would be better, she broke down and began blaming herself for everything that is happening. She couldn't stop, no matter what Gabriel told her.
"This is all my fault! This is all my fault!" She said through gritted teeth, her tears streaming down her face.
Gabriel kept her close to him, rubbing his hand up and down on her back to soothe her, her face resting in the crook of his neck. He took her hand in his and pressed it to his lips before speaking, "Don't blame yourself, my darling. This isn't your fault! We didn't lose our baby, and we won't. We'll give it our all to get through this. You won't be on your own. I will be here with you, regardless," he said trying to sound as calm as possible for Nathalie.
Nathalie closed her eyes, attempting to push the self-blame to the back of her mind. She was hoping Gabriel is correct when he say "We will get through this." She took a few long breaths and was able to totally calm herself down with Gabriel at her side. After a few minutes, Gabriel suggested that she needed to rest, like the doctor advice, Nathalie agreed. Gabriel laid her on their bed and cuddled her, and did not leave her. Not even until she fell asleep.

-Marymount International School-
As soon as the school bell rang, Gabriella ran out of the school, leaving her cousin Blaire behind, and scanned the outdoors for her parents. She had a tremendous smile on her face when she spotted her father leaning on their car near a tree, but it quickly vanished when she realized her mother did not come along to pick her up from school for the second time.
"Gabby, you just left me!" Blaire shouted at her cousin. Gabby remained silent, her attention fixed on her father, and she appeared like she was about to cry.
Blaire turned to where Gabriella was looking and saw what she was looking at. She put her arms around her cousins shoulder and they started to walk towards their dad's slowly, "Don't be too sad! I bet tomorrow aunt Nathalie will come pick you up too," Blaire told her.
