-8:10 a.m.-Nathalie began to regain consciousness gradually. She opened her eyes, only to close them again when the harsh morning sunlight soaked in her face. She moved her head away from it, and the first thing she saw when she opened her eyes again was the man she loved most.
Nathalie had a beautiful smile on her lips while she was staring at her husband, Gabriel, wondering how someone could look this handsome while in deep sleep.
This was rather surprising to her because Gabriel is normally the first to be awakened by the sun in the morning, not her. She would usually take longer to wake up, especially if they had made love the night before, but she was delighted to be up first, which meant she could put one of her surprises for her new husband into action.
Nathalie wrapped her arms around his body, burying her face against his chest. She grasped his left hand, which was laying on her waist, and glanced at his ring. It felt good to know that this ring, along with the one she wore on her ring finger, was only one of many symbols of their everlasting love for each other. And every time she saw the ring on their fingers, it reminded her of the vows they made in front of the altar and their guests.
She brought her hands up to her lips and kissed them. She looked at him to see if he woke up, but he didn't seem to feel anything.
Suddenly, fear came over her. She immediately placed her hand over his heart, and when she felt his heart beat pounding, she heaved a sigh of relief and kissed his cheek hard.
When she pulled away, she remembered him talking about dying while they were having breakfast the day before, and she figured that was most likely where the worry came from. She always hated when he talked about dying. She knew it would eventually happen, but as much as possible, she wanted to avoid the talking about it and let alone think about it.
Nathalie stared at him, then said, "You are not allowed to die, Gabriel. You won't leave me, okay?" She paused then caressed his cheek, saying, "You would kill me, my darling." Nathalie says, while moving her head closer to his.
She laughed quietly, then whispered against his ear, "You still have to put another baby in me, right? You and your long, thick, magical dick."
Gabriel moved, and her eyes widened. She stared at his face, discovering that he was still sleeping, and she covered her mouth as soon as she felt a laugh about to burst.
Nathalie shook her head, "Oh, Agreste..." She hums before burying her head in his neck again.
A few moments later, she sat up on the bed and looked at him again. She kissed his cheek, whispering, "I love you, Gabriel... I don't want to leave you alone, but I plan to surprise you with a lovely breakfast, darling..."
She pulled off her blanket, which was still covering her legs, before getting out of bed, sliding her feet into her slippers. Nathalie came over to his side of the bed and adjusted the blanket for Gabriel. She stroked his hair and smiled at him before walking towards their bathroom to do her morning routine.
After Nathalie was done using the bathroom, she went straight to the kitchen. She unlocked her phone, opening the music app and putting on her daughter Gabriella's playlist on.
Gabriella absolutely adores Taylor Swift, which is why it made perfect sense when the first song that played was "Mr. Perfectly Fine" by Taylor Swift. Nathalie was rather unfamiliar with the song, but she kept it on as the beginning of the song perfectly matched the mood she was currently in.
Nathalie danced while she walked towards the stand that hug the aprons. She nods her head, while washing her hands. She then brought out the pan from the cabinet, placing it on the stove. She used a bit of cooking spray to prevent the food from sticking to he pan.
