After having lunch with her cousin Blaire, Gabriella hurried to her science class with her friends to look at her flashcards before the teacher got there.

While she was quietly flipping though the flashcards she made, she heard the boy that sat beside her, Leo her opponent in this case, say, "Studying hard I see."

Gabriella looked at the brown-haired boy with green eyes for a moment before she quietly returned her attention to the flashcards she was holding. But when she felt  sharp pain in her lower abdomen, she shrieked forcing her to place her flashcards on her desk and hug her stomach while she squeezed her eyes shut.

"Are you okay, Gabriella? I've seen you do that multiple times today already..." Leo asks worriedly, his forehead creasing.

Gabriella turned to look at him, "No. My stomach has been hurting," she tells him squeezing herself hard.

"Do you want me to tell the teacher when she gets here? She will send you to the nurse's office," The young boy suggested, "Oh, look Mrs. Delaney's here!"

As soon as Leo stood up from his desk, Gabriella grabbed his arm and told him to sit down. "I'm not going to miss the test-"

"But you're hurting though," Leo interrupted her.

"I'm going to be fine. Sometimes It doesn't hurt as much. It will probably go away," Gabriella smiled at him, "Are you scared I'm going to prove you wrong?.. Oh no, are you?!"

Leo shook his head immediately, "Nope. I was just worried about you. Why should I be scared? I will get a higher mark than you," he sat properly on his seat then added, "Whatever, you're probably just constipated."

Gabriella gasped, "I'm not!" she objected.

"Shhh. The teacher is talking. It's disrespectful to talk over her," Leo says then he gave Gabriella a smile.

"Good afternoon class! Please clear your desk! I should only see you have a pencil, sharpener, and eraser. I sure hope everyone got the time to study for our test on Habitats and Communities! This test should not be very hard! Everything on this test we were able to go over." Mrs. Delaney says while she handed out the test papers, "Get one and pass please.... And when you receive your test, make sure to write your name immediately. I am giving one extra point because some of you still forget to put your names on your papers. After that, you are free to quietly start answering the questions! But remember to keep your eyes on your own paper. I have eyes even in the back of my head."

After Gabriella and Leo received their test papers, they turned to each other narrowing their eyes before they began.

"If you are all done and you made sure to check your answers, please stay seated. You can doodle, read a book, or work on something quietly from other classes. I will collect the test papers before the class ends."

After Gabriella read the first question, she smiled seeing that it was the same question her father had asked her. 'What is a habitat?'

In just fifteen minutes, Gabriella was able to answer all fifteen questions and triple check her answers.

She turned toward Leo and saw him still answering the questions. She noticed the teacher looking around the classroom and assumed she was doing one of two things: checking to see if she would catch cheaters or taking attendance.

Gabriella moved her paper to the top left side of her desk and reached for her sketchbook in her bag pack. While she was drawing a design she thought of to ignore the cramping on her lower abdomen, she heard Mrs. Delaney call for her name and she immediately looked up. She saw the teacher signal her to come up to her and bring her test with her.
