Though she had to, Nathalie did not want to inquire about the contents of the letter. She had to, even as her heart hammered against her chest and her eyes began to brim with tears. The mere thought of losing Gabriel once again pinched her heart; she knew she couldn't endure it once again, so she forced herself to grasp onto hope. After all, avoiding to ask him will not change his faith. But surely, the police wouldn't send a letter to arrest someone. The criminal would've gotten the chance to flee. Besides, there were no cops around. Everything was silent except for the sound she felt from within when her heart banged on her chest and the blood roaring in her ears.

Having shifted her mindset, Nathalie seemed to have gathered the courage to ask, but there was still a shake in her voice as she spoke, "W-well... w-what does it say?"

Gabriel averts his gaze from the paper in his hand to lay his eyes on his wife. His palm tightened around her wrist as he saw the anxiousness painted on her face. He knew it was his fault it's even there and he cursed himself internally.

He stared at her for a beat, then his eyes lowered on the paper again, reading the ink on the white paper as if wanting to make sure he read it correctly the first time.

His adams apple bobs on his throat as he swallowed a lump. "It's a restraining order. A temporary... Restraining order." He reveals, lifting his head to look at his wife. The worried expression she wore were still there, but it was notable how much more relieved she felt as the line between her brows became less prominent.

Taking the paper from him, Nathalie read the lines on it with her eyes darting from left to right. She confirmed that her husband, Gabriel Agreste, was subject to a temporary restraining order due to his attack on Felix Graham de Vanily. With witnesses, video surveillance footage, as well as the mark left around Felix's neck presented as evidence. According to the letter, Gabriel is also prohibited from approaching Amelie Graham de Vanily, and if he did, he would face criminal charges for violating the terms of order with possibility of imprisonment for 6 months to a year.

"I told you I wouldn't repeat what I had done yesterday; I intend to keep it. I won't hurt Felix or Amelie. I won't approach them. However, that doesn't mean I won't gather evidence to prove it was Amelie and Julianne who tampered with your prenatal vitamins. I cannot let this go. I know it was them. I will find whichever pharmacist they approached to obtain those pills; if I have to haunt people, I will." Gabriel said, his eyes set on Nathalie, who merely stared at him. He gave her a smile, along with a second to respond, but she gave him nothing in return.

"Darling?" Gabriel pulled her towards him, worry crept within him again.

A smile formed on her lips, which eased Gabriel. Nathalie placed his hands on either side of her waist, a place she knows very well her husband loves to claim. Her gaze lifted, meeting his eyes, their eyes becoming the same level when she stood on her tiptoes.

Gabriel must have noticed how she eyed his lips and made eye contact with him, as if seeking for permission to kiss him. "Go on," he said, leaning in with a tilt in his head.

Nathalie smiled even wider now, she closed her eyes just as he had and clashed their lips together. Nathalie's hands traveled up his chest and up to his broad shoulders to eventually stay on his cheeks. Gabriel was quick to reciprocate, getting lost as he gave back that same sweet, warm, and tender kiss, closing what little distance existed between their bodies.

When they pulled apart, their faces remained inches away, their breathing synchronized.

Staring into his dark to pale blue eyes, Nathalie whispers to him, "I was so afraid they would take you away from me. I was afraid we would have a repeat of the past..."
