Jagged broke the news to him. "PENNY IS PREGNANT, GABRIEL!!!"

Jagged's eyes glimmered with tears, but the unbeatable smile on his face was enough to say that they were tears of joy.

Gabriella who is sat in the back seat gasped hearing the news.

In an instant, Gabriel's troubled face softened, the corners of his mouth lifting up as he smiled, and the remains of timorousness evident in his eyes vanished, replaced with his pupils dilating as his eyes widened.

"She's pregnant?!" Jagged merely nodded, on the verge of tears, "Congratulations!!" Gabriel went in for a hug patting his friends back.

Gabriel is happy for Jagged and Penny. Of course he is. He knows just how difficult it was for them to get pregnant. They tried and tried for many years, and every time they would fail, they would tell themselves, each other, and even the people around them that they were happy and didn't need a child, even though, deep within their souls, having children of their own was their greatest wish.

That is why, when Gabriel feels this slight jealousy embedded within him, he feels guilt. Guilty for wishing it was him announcing to Jagged that he and Nathalie are expecting. He feels even more guilt when thinking of the countless times that he assured Nathalie that it was okay with him if she couldn't give him another child.

He is happy with the way life is for them. There is no lie in that. His relationship with his son improved; he married the only love of his life, Nathalie; and he and his daughter—she's undeniably a daddy's girl—have such a strong bond. Yet, is it wrong for him to want to get it right as a father from the very beginning?  Is it wrong that he does not want to wait several years until he builds a good, strong, relationship with his children?...

Gabriel released Jagged from his embrace. He studied his face noticing a streams of tears rolling down on both cheeks.

Jagged chuckled whipping his tears, "Gabriel, I swear, man, I am happy I knocked her up." he says, as he sniffed.

Gabriel burst out laughing after hearing what he had told him. He extended his arm to pat him on the back.

Jagged laughed as well. "Flippin hell," he sniffed as he looked at Gabriel. "I ain't a crier, but this shit got me emotional bruv."

"You have nothing to worry about, Jagged. You and Penny have been wanting to have your own child. You've been married for... I'd like to say... 6...7 years?" Gabriel tells him as he gives him a few final pats on the back to hopefully calm him down.

"Man... 7 years." Jagged sighed, then smiled at Gabriel.

Gabriel nodded, also smiling at him. "How far along is your wife?" he asks.

"Doctor said 'bout like a month. We found out almost three weeks go when you and Nath left for the Maldives." Jagged answers. "She's tellin' your wife today," he smiled.

"I'm sure my wife's going to be happy for you too." Gabriel turned to his daughter in the backseat, "Right, my love? Mama's going to be happy for your godparents!"

Gabriella smiled. "Yes, I am sure! She loves babies too. She might steal your baby," she said, causing her father and Jagged to laugh. Gabriella sat on the edge of her seat, asking, "Are you having a girl or a boy?"

Jagged shrugged. "Not sure. It don't matter much to me or Penny, Gab." Jagged smiled as he thought of an idea to suggest. "If you guess correctly, I will buy you whatever you want. So, what do you guess? Girl or boy?"

Gabriella narrowed her eyes as she thought. "I'll say girl! I really hope it's a girl!"

Gabriel laughed, "We will find out in a few more months! What do you want your godfather to get you?"
