Gabriel sat on the stairs beside Gabriella and Blaire as he waited for Nathalie to come out of their bedroom so that they could begin their drive to the Notre Dame Cathedral to meet the priest who would marry them in five months. Both girls were waiting for Adrien to pick them up to go to their lessons, which they were doing as a surprise for Gabriel and Nathalie on their wedding day.

Gabriella bowed her head and sighed deeply, growing impatient with the wait for her brother. She then turned to face her father, who was sitting next to her. "Did Adrien say where he was, Dad? It's been twenty-three minutes since he promised to arrive. He doesn't even live that far away, too."

Gabriel took his phone from his blazer and checked his notification before looking at the two little girls, "No, my love, he hasn't texted. Maybe something came up?"

"Maybe... I really hope he gets here soon because Blaire and I are very excited to go to the oper- I mean..." Gabriella pursed her lips together after almost giving away where they were heading.

"Excited to go where, my love?" Gabriel questions his brow raising.

Gabriella shook her head, "Sorry father! I cannot tell you. And please don't try to investigate! It will only ruin the surprise!"

Gabriel squinted his eyes, "hmmm..." he wondered. His daughter whined and hugged him, "Please, please, please, father don't try to find out!! Tell mama too!" Gabriella begged, then she added, "I swear it's going to be worth it! You will find out soon!"

"Alright then. If you say your mother and I don't try to find out, even though we have been wondering where Adrien takes you both every weekend, I will not do anything. Promise." Gabriel says while looking at his daughter.

Gabriella turned to her cousin then Blaire whispered to her ears, "Pinky swear and we'll believe uncle." Gabriella nodded then looked at her father again, raising her pink finger, and Blaire did the same, "Pinky promise first then we will believe you."

Gabriel laughed briefly before stopping when he noticed Gabriella's solemn expression. "All right," he agreed, sticking both of his pinky fingers up, then he says, interlinking his pinky with the girls, "I, Gabriel Agreste, solemnly pledge not to take any actions that will reveal whatever this surprise you all have been planning." he paused then he adds, "I pinky promise."

Both of the girls nodded and let go. Gabriella then smiled at her father and hugged him while she thanked him.

Gabriel smiled as well and hugged his daughter back, "Of course, my love. It's a promise I'll keep."

Gabriella glanced up at her father, "Thank you, dad. I love you!"

"I love you too," Gabriel smiled once again then kissed her forehead. He then turned towards his and Nathalie's bedroom door.

"Dad, you should go check on mama. She's taking kind of long too," Gabriella suggests while removing her arms around her father.

"Alright, I'll go ahead and check on your mother," Gabriel glanced at his watch then added, "We have to be at the Notre dame soon..." he got up and started walking towards his and Nathalie's bedroom. Before he entered the door, he approached the railing and told the girls, "Gabriella, Blaire, just stay there and wait for Adrien, okay? I'm sure he will be here soon."

"Okay!" Both of the girls answered then he smiled at them before proceeding to enter their bedroom.
