Nathalie awoke to see Gabriel's arms wrapped around her waist. She sighed, frozen, recalling her argument with him the night before. Talking about what happened was beneficial, but it stung too much to talk about how her pregnancy ended. Every remembrance felt like her heart being taken from her chest and then put back... only to be done again, over and over. The pain engulfed her.

Once she broke out of her thoughts, her gaze landed on his arm around her waist. She carefully raised it up and shifted herself towards the edge of the bed, before laying his arms on it. While he was sleeping, she turned around and looked at him. Her expression emotionless as she does. She sprang out of bed and went to the bathroom, not even a minute into looking at Gabriel.

She merely stared at herself in the mirror until she felt the tears coming. That was when she hurriedly turned the water on and began to wash her face.

A few minutes later, she stepped out of the bathroom, freshly changed, and headed out of their bedroom as well. Once she closed the door to their bedroom, she glanced to her left and noticed the door to the nursery room. She released her grip on the doorknob and walked towards the nursery door. As soon as she faced it, she breathed deeply before grasping the doorknob and turning it open.

She could only push it slightly before deciding to close it again as the door creaked and she caught a glimpse of the room. Nathalie realized she wasn't even ready to see the room she visited every morning... Like the morning a few days ago. She turned away from it and headed towards her daughter's room to check up on her.

Nathalie opened the door and saw her daughter laying on the bed staring into her ipad, while she wore a saddened expression. She stepped into the room, closed the door behind her and sat on the edge of her daughter's bed.

Gabriella turned to her immediately and begged, "Mama please... I don't wanna go to school. Please don't make me go..."

Her mother gave her a smile and caressed her hair, "I won't... I will let you rest," she told her.

Nathalie watched as her daughter turned away from her and face her ipad once again. She saw how Gabriella dragged the screen down to refresh the page, only to find zero messages from her friends at her school.

She looked at her daughter, and it looked like she was about to cry. Nathalie took her ipad, closed it, then placed it on the empty side of the bed beside her.

"Scooch over please...." Nathalie requested, and once Gabriella did, she took the space beside her and layed down.

Nathalie smiled at her daughter, then wrapped her arms around her, pulling her towards her.

When Gabriella encircled her arms around her mom, Nathalie started to drop kisses on her hair.

"I am so sorry, my love," She whispers to her daughter, whilst also caressing her back.

At this point, the little girl started to sob.

"They're not talking to me any-anymore!" Gabriella says, "Because of you and father!"

Nathalie gulped, "Uhm.. G-give them some time.... They will talk to you when they're ready, my darling."

Gabriella faced her mother, "What if they d-don't?! Then I don't have friends anymore!"

"Then what do you call me, Gabriella? Am I not your friend?" Nathalie pouted.

She shook her head, "But- you're m-my mom," she said in between her hiccups.

"I can be both you know... I can be your mom, but at the same time, your friend.... your bestfriend... Anything, Gabriella." Nathalie smiled at her and wiped her tears, "For example... Your grandma, Andie... She wasn't just my mom... She was my bestfriend too." Nathalie stared at her daughter before adding, "And it's not just me who's your friend. There's Adrien, Marinette, Blaire, your uncle, your aunt... Your father too."
