The rumors got louder and louder. I did my best to ignore them, but they it was extremely hard, especially since it was about the person I was in love with.

I remember talking to Tsumiki about them one day. "What did you think about the rumors that the house servants kept talking about? The ones where Satoru keeps going around with girls?"

She just shrugged. "I don't really know. They might be true, since Gojo-san is really handsome and can get any girl he wants. But I've never seen him with anyone. So for now I guess they are just rumors." She dismissed it.

I also dismissed them as trivial and stupid and untrue, but I couldn't help but keep overhearing them, especially since the housekeeper kept talking about them.

But there was something weird. Whenever I heard the rumors, whenever I heard the any mentions of Satoru being with someone else, I felt this weird feeling in my chest. A slightly painful sensation, that made it hard to breathe.

I was in the kitchen drinking orange juice, when I heard them loudly whispering. "I always knew he was a playboy, but that many women in one night!? I know he's young so he still has his health but Gojo-san still needs to be careful. One of them might end up getting pregnant!"

At the words 'pregnant' I almost knocked over my glass. Pregnant!? But they didn't pay any mind to me and just kept whispering loudly, almost like they wanted me to hear.

"Yeah he's always playing around so much. I hear he never stays with a girl twice. Almost like he's obsessed with having continuous one-night stands," the housekeeper Anne said to our cleaner Aito-san.

"How are you so sure it's true?" Aito-san asked her.

"I'm not sure, that's the thing," she admitted. "He's never brought a girl home. But I've just heard other people talking about it."

I got up and ran to my room. I didn't want to hear anymore, and I didn't want to believe anything. I felt jealousy rise up in me. It wasn't true, was it Satoru? Are you really going around with other girls?

It's not true. I shook my head. In the end rumors will be rumors. Unless I really see something with my own eyes, I won't believe in anything. He said that I was his most precious person. If that were really true, he wouldn't be going around with other people.

Then one night, I fell asleep on Tsumiki's bed after marathoning a whole series for almost the entire night. We were sprawled out on the bed, sleeping beside each other. I opened my eyes and say the time on her alarm clock. 1:00 am.

Tsumiki got up and she rubbed her eyes. "Megumi, can you go get me some water? I'm thirsty," she said groggily. I normally would've told her to go get it herself but I was thirsty too so I got up and left the room to go get water.

I walked down the staircase quietly, and I was about halfway to the kitchen when I heard some noise. It was a weird muffled noise, I felt like I've heard it before. In a movie perhaps?

But maybe it was just the housekeeper vacuuming in a really weird way, although I wondered why they would be cleaning the house at this time. I continued to walk towards the kitchen.

But then I saw them.

Satoru was with a girl. The girl was sitting on top of the kitchen counter, while he leaned down to kiss her. The way they kissed was almost like they were eating each other's faces, and his hand was underneath her skin tight red dress.

"Mmm, keep going," the lady said. She made a weird noise out loud. "Don't stop- ahh!"

I froze in place, not knowing what to do. They couldn't see me right? So I turned around, and slowly started walking upstairs, trying to be discreet as possible. That didn't work though, because I accidentally tripped on the stairs, and hurt myself, and it made a loud noise. They probably noticed me then because the noises from the kitchen stopped. But I didn't care and I walked up the stairs as quickly as I could.

I walked into Tsumiki's room and closed the door behind me. "Where's the water I asked for?" She asked me.

I was looking down at my feet. "I didn't get it. Because the kitchen was occupied." I answered. I walked over to her bed and sat down at the side of it.

"Occupied? By who?" She wondered. "The housekeepers only work during the day. And it's not like Gojo-san was making something in the middle of the night-"

"He was!" I yelled, interrupting her. "He was making something in the middle of the night. He was making a baby! Down in the kitchen with some girl wearing a red dress." I told her. I explained to her that I heard noises, and then I told her about what I saw.

"Oh woah, really?" She looked surprised but not shocked. "So I guess those rumors that the housekeepers kept talking about were true. I think this is the first time that he's brought a girl to the house. He must really like that girl then," she observed.

Her words stung me. I tried my best to hide my emotion, to act like it didn't matter to me and that I didn't care, but suddenly tears started welling up in my eyes. Stop crying, I told myself. But the tears just wouldn't stop.

"M-Megumi!?" She looked startled. "What's wrong?" She asked me. "Did you hurt yourself or something?" She looked at my arms and legs to see if I got bruised.

"It's nothing," I tried to hide it. "I just thought about something. It doesn't matter."

Then I put my face against the pillow, trying to hide my tears, while I just left Tsumiki was just left wondering.
