I woke up from the first full nights sleep I'd had in a while; no screaming, no crying. I sleepily turned over to see if Tay was awake yet.
She was gone.
She was never gone, she would always be next to me in the bunk when I woke up. I remembered how drunk she was the night before and questioned if she'd wandered off somewhere in the night and, if she had, where to. I started to panic as my eyes searched around me frantically.
"Tay?" I asked out loud with no reply. I threw myself out of the bunk and landed, with a bang, on the floor. I checked the back lounge but it was empty, I checked the bathroom but that was empty as well. Running a hand through my messy hair, I walked towards the front lounge of the bus to ask if anyone knew where she was.
I was relieved and surprised when I saw Tay sat with Alex playing Halo on the Xbox; relieved because she was safe and surprised because she seemed almost back to her old self: showered, dressed, talking. She was still quieter and not as bright as usual but it was a big difference to how she'd been the past few days.
Alex pouted when she put down the controller to come over to greet me but soon carried on with the game alone
"Morning" I smiled
"Morning" she repeated seeming a little uncomfortable "I-I'm sorry about last night..." she blushed looking at the floor
"Forget about it" I laughed hugging her "It's nice seeing you up,"
"It's nice to be up," she answered sounding genuinely happier.
Tay's POV
"What time is it?" Jack asked, rubbing his eyes. Just when I thought it was impossible for this man to get more attractive BOOM - sleepy Jack appears
"Almost half ten" I answered.
Jack was right, I needed to get up and get on with my life just how my dad and Cris would want me to. Don't get me wrong, I was still hurting, every inch of my being hurt but being up and around people who made me feel good made things hurt just that tiny bit less.
"Where are we?" I asked from where I was sat, leaving against Jack on the couch
"Ermm..." he started, looking blank
"We're in Glasgow" Rian answered, throwing a piece of scrunched up paper at Jack's head. He shrugged his shoulders looking a little embarrassed so I kissed his cheek quickly making him blush. A chorus of 'ooo's and 'awww's filled the bus causing me to blush as well.
"Wait, Glasgow, Scotland?" I asked trying to take the attention off the small kiss
"Is there another?" Matt asked, answering my question
"Jack it's six, the Hustler meet & greet starts in half an hour. Everyone else is in the venue" Matt shouted through the bus
"What are the meet & greets like?" I asked Jack
"Amazing because it gives us a chance to meet some of our fans and talk to them more than just at a signing or whatever but mainly, they're amazing because I'm there" he answered, not really looking away from the screen where the final scene of Home Alone was playing
"You have a huge ego" I laughed
"Yeah but you love my huge ego"
"Hmm...maybe..." I joked. He pouted, finally tearing himself away from the film "okay yes, yes I do" I said kissing the end of his nose to stop him pouting
"You were right" he said
"I'm always right...but what are you talking about" I asked slightly confused
