I woke up to find myself still on top of the covers. I rolled over and swung an arm lazily over the side of the bed to search for my phone on the floor; when I unlocked it the bright light it gave off made me squint. It was just past nine in the morning. I sat up slowly letting my eyes adjust to the sunlight streaming through the window. I glanced around the room and spotted Cris curled up in a ball at the end of her bed still fully dressed, much like myself. She probably stumbled in at the early hours of the morning and collapsed straight onto her bed I was surprised that I'd slept right through it.

I glanced down to my arm hoping it was all just a horrible dream. But just as I'd dreaded, there were four raised lines all glowing bright red staring straight back up at me. As quietly as possible I picked up the blood soaked towel and moved into the bathroom. I closed and locked the door behind me and took in the scene I'd created.

There were various beads and bracelets scattered all over the floor, towels thrown messily into a pile, nothing was stood up right and over in the corner was a small razor sitting in a pool of blood. I hadn't realised how much of a mess I'd made. I sighed as I started to clean it up.

After about twenty minutes everything was back in it's place. I stood in the middle of the room with the razor in my hand. I placed it back on the side if the sink where I'd found it then took off the clothes I'd been wearing since the day before to have a shower. The hot water ran over my body with positive effect but I winced in pain as the water came into contact with my cuts. I washed my hair feeling the tension from my body leaving me.

The sudden change in temperature when I left the shower made me shiver. I wrapped a large towel around me and tiptoed into the room. Cris was in the exact same position she'd been in over 40 minutes ago. I gathered up some clothes and went back into the bathroom to change. I'd decided on an old Boys Like Girls baggy t-shirt with black shorts. I quickly ran a brush through my hair and left it to dry naturally for a change.

When I emerged from the small room I found Cris sat hunched over in one of two chairs over by the window with her head resting in her hands. I sat opposite her and she peered up at me with eyes which said it all
"You look terrible" I laughed
"I feel terrible" she groaned rubbing her eyes
"Did you have a good time then?" I questioned, opening the window to let in some fresh air
"To be honest, I can't really remember what happened.." she trained off, grabbing some sunglasses from close by and putting them on to block out the blinding light from her hungover state
"Do you even know what time you got in?"
"I think Zack ordered a taxi for me at about 4am"
"Do you really not remember anything?" I asked wanting to find out what I'd missed out on
"Some things... There were a lot of drinks and card games with more drinks and karaoke but that's about it" she smiled
"Who was there?"
"Well at first it was everyone who we left with but then Rian went back to Cassadee's, Jack went to bed pretty early and Alex passed out on the floor so it was just me and Zack for most of the night" she shrugged
"Ooo I bet you loved that!" I laughed leaning over and pushing her playfully
"Shut up! You can hardly talk miss Hide-away-with-Jack-for-hours-just-'talking'" she shot back with a mischievous smile
"Touché my friend, touché " I shook my head, laughing.

I sat by the window, alone for a while while Cris had a shower and got dressed for the day. I took out my laptop and connected to the hotel's wifi. I searched 'All Time Low' in the i tunes store search bar and bought the three albums I could find: Put Up Or Shut Up, So Wrong It's Right and Nothing Personal. I was listening to 'Jasey Rae' when Cris came and sat with me again looking more alive than when she'd first woke up
"Tay? Why is there a hand towel covered in blood in the bathroom?" Shit! I'd forgotten to move it
"Nose bleed. I had a nose bleed last night when I got in" I replied convincingly, wow fast thinking
"Are you okay? It must have been pretty bad by the look of that towel!" she seemed to buy it
"Yeah, I'm fine. I had to use the towel I didn't know what else to use" I said looking out of the window as not to give my act away
