Tay's POV

"Tay, wake up" I felt myself being gently shook

"Cris?" I asked, immediately awake. When I saw her lying in the hospital bed everything came rushing back to me.

"It's me, Tay" Cris' mum Joanna said looking at me concerned

"What time is it?" I asked

"It's nine in the morning, darling. How long have you been here?"

"Since last night" I told her. My neck was stiff from sleeping in the chair, I massaged it with my hand trying to get the pain to subside.

"You shouldn't have slept in that chair" she said. I felt like a small child getting told off.

"I know, I must have just dozed off without realising"

"Go home for a bit, Tay. I'll stay here"

"It's fine. I'd reather stay"

"I wasn't asking you. Go home, get a shower, get something to eat and come back later on" I nodded reluctantly, earning me a kind smile from Joanna. As I stood up to leave she pulled me into a warm hug "Try not to worry too much. Everything's going to be fine. It's Cris, she'll fight through it" she said into my ear.

Jack's POV

I rolled out of my bunk and stretched in what little space there was. The drawn curtains on the rest of the bunks in the bus told me it was still relatively early to be awake on tour. I walked down to the front lounge to find Matt sorting through papers at the table.

"Hey, Flyzik" I said and he looked up in surprise

"What are you doing up before lunch?" He laughed

"I honestly don't know..." I said jumping onto the sofa and turning the TV on

"You as well? Is this the end of the world or something?" I heard Matt say and turned around so see Alex stumbling over to the sofa, still half asleep

"Didn't want to miss out on the fun now did I?" he said with a yawn

"Well enjoy, I'm going in the back lounge because I need to get this sorted with no distractions" he said gathering his things and walking down the bus

"That's one way to get rid of him. We should do that more often" Alex said. I smiled and laughed halfheartedly "What's up?" he asked looking straight at me with his serious face

"I don't know what do do, man" I sighed and let me head fall backwards

"About what?" he asked taking a seat

"Tay. I mean, I know I shouldn't be getting like this. I hardly know her but..." I didn't know how to finish

"But even though you know nothing about her, that just makes you want to find out more and the fact that you can't be with her to stop anything hurting her kills you inside and when you see her face, even if it's on a screen, it's like the walls could be falling down around you and nothing would matter because in that moment you're so hypnotised by her beauty and wonder nothing else exists to you." he said staring into space

"Yeah..." I said waiting for him to snap out of his daydream of whoever he was thinking of... probably me.

"Why are you being like this? You were almost peeing your pants about seeing her yesterday"

"It's just... I called her and she didn't answer and she always answers and it's not like she missed it, she hung up. It just got me thinking...what's the point? She lives in England, I live in America; long distance never works no matter what people say. She's probably got a queue of guys she can choose from, why would she pick me?"
