Taylor's POV

The smell of food drifted through the air and up to my nose as we got closer to the fire. What was left of daylight was just enough to see the silhouettes of three bodies down my the glowing pit. The fire emitted a welcoming warmth when we got near which replaced the heat of the day that had vanished along with the light.

The second I sat down Cris handed me a plate. I picked up the burger which sat on top of it and felt as if I was going to be sick. I swallowed the feeling rising up inside of me and teared off a bit of the bun. Even though in my head I knew they wern't, I felt as if everyone was watching me. Some time and half a burger later Cris sat beside me

"I'm sorry I really can't eat any more, I'll throw up if I do" I told her truthfully

"I know. Thank you, Tay" she said hugging me

"You guys want a drink?" Alex shouted from over by a large cooler box

"What you got?" Cris shouted back

"Err beer, tequila, vod-" he didn't even finish the word before she started talking again

"Vodka and coke please, Alex" she shouted, the smile on her face growing

"Same for you Tay?"

"I'll just have a beer thanks" I replied as we got up and moved to where the others were sitting on blankets closer to the fire.

We were handed our drinks then Alex walked off somewhere. I took a sip of the cold beer and smiled as the taste settled on my tong. About 10 minutes later our conversations stopped when Alex reappeared from behind me with a guitar in his hand.

"I thought it was only right that we cheesily sang around the camp fire" he said as he sat down between Jack and Zack "Any requests?" He asked looking at Cris who's face lit up

"Let It Roll?" she asked hopefully after a moment of thinking

"Sure thing" he said as he started playing the first chord.

As I listened to the sound of the guitar and his voice filling the space we occupied on the beach I couldn't help but smile. He really did have an amazing voice, I could listen to it all day. I looked over to Cris who was mouthing along to the words slightly. Her eyes were wide and I could only imagine what was going through her head right now, she was sat on an empty beach with three out of four members of her favourite band and the lead singer was currently singing a song she'd asked him to. Her smile said it all.

"Tay! You play something!" Cris said once the song had finished. I shot her a look of death but she just smiled back cheekily

"You play?" Alex asked with a smile

"She does, and she sings. She thinks I can't hear her but I can" Cris answered for me

"Sing! Sing Sing!" Jack chanted with Cris joining in

"Do I have to?"

"Please?" Jack asked with puppy dog eyes blinking those long eyelashes of his. I scanned the faces of everyone else who seemed to be giving me the same sort of look

"Fine" I sighed knowing I would never hear the end of it if I didn't agree.

Alex handed me the guitar. I felt my heart beat speed up, all eyes were on me waiting for me to begin. Come on, just do it. I told myself I took a deep breath and whispered 'Jump and I'll be here to catch you' to myself before I started to play Always Attract by You Me At Six

Alex's POV

She looked so nervous sat there with the guitar in her hands. I would have told her she didn't have to do it but I really wanted to hear her sing and I knew she'd feel better once she'd done it anyway.
