Tay's POV
The sound of my phone ringing rudely woke me from the first proper sleep I'd had in a long while. I sat up in bed and, with the pain in my head from the alcohol fueled evening that was the previous night, it took me a moment to realise it wasn't coming from in my room. I stumbled out into the living area and my previously squinting eyes shot open when I saw Jack fast asleep on the sofa. A smile grew on my face and all of my insides started to tremble but that could have just been another effect of my hangover. Once I'd got my phone I went to make my way back into my bedroom, trying my hardest not to wake Jack, the gentle snores escaping his mouth told me I hadn't.
"Hello?" I answered, my voice just above a whisper
"Tay, it's Joanna. I didn't' wake you did I?" she asked sounding sorry
"It was about time I got up anyway" I said "How is she?"
"No change. She's not any worse though, I suppose that's some good news. Anyway, I was thinking, you should do something today. Get out, have some fun," She said. I was torn, I didn't know whether to spend what little time Jack had here with him or stay with Cris in hospital. Mostly I was scared something would happen to Cris if I did spend the day with Jack and I wouldn't be there.
"I don't know. I want to be at the hospital in case anything happens," I heard her sighed and she thought for a moment
"Why don't you just come down for a little while to put your mind at ease then you can go out" She suggested
"And you'll call me if the slightest thing happens?" I asked
"Of course I will, Tay. You'll be the first person I'll call"
"Alright then, I'll be at the hospital in a bit"
"See you then" She said before hanging up
Jack's POV
I woke up with the pulsing pane in my head that I knew too well. I looked around and remembered where I was but that wasn't the only thing I remembered... oh God, I thought.
I told Tay I loved her but the worst part of remembering what I'd said was that I had no recollection what she had said back.
I could hear her voice coming from behind a door. The fact that there was only one voice told me she was on the phone to someone
"How is she?" I heard her ask. There was a pause where the other member of the conversation must have been speaking then she spoke again "I don't know. I want to be at the hospital in case anything happens," I didn't want to eavesdrop on her private conversation but I couldn't help overhearing and I suspected she was referring to Cris. There was more talking then everything was quiet again.
I rested my head in my hands and let out a groan when the pain in my head came rushing back. After about ten minutes the door opened and Tay emerged, already dressed in ripped grey skinny jeans and a baggy Green Day shirt. She looked so good.
She sat close to me, planting a soft kiss on my cheek
"Morning" She smiled, her voice still slightly groggy
"Mhmm" I hummed in reply, still half asleep myself, wrapping my arm around her and pulling her closer to me. She giggled which made my smile grow even wider "So what do you want to do today?" I asked. I watched as she searched her mind for an answer
"Well... I want to see everyone at some point" She started
"I need to go back to the bus anyway to get changed so you can catch up with the guys then if you want"
