Jack's POV

"Dude! Chill, I'm sure she'll call" Alex said as he sat opposite me on the breakfast bar and handed me a cup of steaming hot coffee
"I know. I just really want to see her again, Alex" I replied taking a drink from my Jack Skellington mug.
"Give her some time. It's only eleven, I'm surprised to see you up at this time to he honest!" he laughed tapping away on his laptop.

Then, right on queue, my phone started to ring - unrecognised number. Crap. This could be her. What do I say?
"Well! Answer it!" Alex said glaring at me.

"Hello?"
"Hey, Jack. It's Tay" just hearing her voice again did something to me. I think Alex could tell by the look on my face that it was her because he was dancing in his chair.
"Hey, Tay"
"So I got your message..."
"Are you free today?"
"I most certainly am, sir" Her accent made anything she said sound awesome
"Do you want to meet up?"
"Love to! Where?" I thought for a moment
"Did you see the Starbucks a couple of blocks away from your hotel when we were walking back last night?"
"I did, yes. Should I meet you there in an hour?"
"Okay. I'll see you there"
"Bye" the line went dead

"So?"  Alex asked
"I'm meeting her in an hour!"
"Yeah!" He shouted punching the air "but remember we've got a show tonight. Sound check's at 5:30"
"I'll be there on time don't worry! Hey Alex?"
"Yesss?" he replied in a girly voice
"Do you think I should ask her to the show tonight?"
"Yeah! I can't wait to meet her" he screamed throwing his arms in the air

Tay's POV

I fell asleep with a smile on my face last night. A very rare occurrence for me.

I woke up at around 10 o' clock to find myself in a comfy bed with last nights memories still playing on my mind. I looked to the left of me to see Cris fast asleep in the most awkward position. I searched the room with my eyes to find something to throw at her, I settled on a pillow. I threw it as hard as I could in her direction; seconds later she shot up causing her to fall off the bed and me to burst into hysterical laughter
"I'll get you back, Taylor Drew Davis!" she shouted still half asleep forcing me to laugh even more
"Don't you middle name me!" I said jumping out of bed and running into the bathroom.

I emerged 20minuted later showered and dressed to see a more awake looking Cris sat on the end of my bed on her phone.
"You have to call him!" she said looking up at me
"Where did this come from?" Why did she think I wasn't going to anyway?
"Look" she said throwing me the phone. The twitter screen read:

@AlexAllTimeLow WOAH. Mystery girl, wherever you are, Jack hasn't shut up about you. Call him!

I couldn't stop the smile from creeping onto my face.
"Are you going to call then!?" she squealed. I think she's more exited about me this whole thing than anyone.
"As soon as you go for a shower, I can't have you screaming 'I LOOVE YOUU' in the background now can I?" I said pulling her off the bed and pushing her towards the bathroom "Besides, you smell. Have a wash woman!" I laughed as I shut the door behind her.

I waited until I could hear the water running then I got out the small piece of paper and dialed the number.

It rung out for a while. Maybe he was still in bed.

Just as I was about to give up he answered.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Jack. It's Tay"
"Hey, Tay"
"So I got your message..." I realised I hadn't even thought of what to say if he picked up but before the pause got awkward he spoke again
"Are you free today?"
"I most certainly am, sir" Why did I say that?
"Do you want to meet up?"
"Love to! Where?" There was a small silence
"Did you see the Starbucks a couple of blocks away from your hotel when we were walking back last night?"
"I did, yes. Should I meet you there in an hour?"
"Okay. I'll see you there"
"Bye" I hung up before I let myself say anything even more embarrassing.

I fell back onto the soft bed behind me staring up at the ceiling. My whole body filled with tingles.

Jack's POV

I sat by the window in Starbucks, I got there early so she wouldn't be waiting alone. Every time the door opened my head shot up but I found myself disappointed each time. I tapped on the screen of my phone nervously. Why was feeling like this?

The bell above the door rang once more signalling the arrival of a new customer. I glanced towards the door expecting to see another stranger coming in to get their daily fix of caffeine but was taken aback when I saw Tay stood in the door way scanning the store. She spotted me and smiled as she started to make her way towards me.

Her smile was almost as bright as those eyes of hers. I swear the room light up when she walking in. How Cliche...

She was dressed simply in pale denim shorts, converse and a band t-shirt I couldn't quite make out because she was wearing the jacket I lent her last night over the top. Her hair was tied back with a white bandanna keeping the shorter pieces from falling into her face.

I stood up as she got closer.
"Hiya!" she said hugging me
"Hey" I replied, hugging her back. She took a seat in the chair opposite where I was previously sitting
"What do you want to drink?"
"Hmm... light caramel frappuccino please"
"Coming right up ma'am, I'll be back in a minute" I said before I turned and made my way towards the counter to order.

I glanced back while waiting for our drinks. She was absentmindedly playing with a strand of loose hair, staring out of the window while bobbing her head to the beat of the music she was playing on her ipod.

I walked back over, placing her drink on the table in front of her which made her jump.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you" I said laughing at her expression
"It's fine, I was away with the fairies" She giggled blushing slightly "Oh before I forget" she started taking off the jacket "Here's your hoodie back. Sorry I wore it again it's just I must have left mine at home when I was packing"
"It's fine, keep it"
"I can't do that"
Honestly you may as well have it if you left yours at home. I live here, I've got hundreds"
"Thanks" she smiled. I found myself staring deep into her eyes.

"Anyway, I've got a bone to pick with you Mr.I'm-in-a-famous-band-and-didn't-think-to-mention-it" she said raising her eyebrows
"You didn't ask!" I said shrugging slightly "How did you find out in the end?"
"The friend I'm here with saw you walking me to the door of the hotel yesterday and she's sort of obsessed with your band. Not in a creepy way... Yeah, in a creepy way" she said laughing to herself
"I suppose I'll take the whole creepy obsession thing as a compliment..." I joked "We're playing a show tonight if you want to come"
"That'd be cool. Then I can see if you're actually any good!"
"Oh please!? We're the best"
"You're going to have to prove that one to me"
"Tonight! You'll see! Come to the side door around 6 and give the guy your name that way you can meet the guys before the show. I'll put you down for +1 so you can bring your friend. Under one condition?"
"And what would that be?"
"That you can promise she will not harm me or any of us in any way"
"I'm sorry but I cannot do that. I think you're safe though, it's your bassist who's got to watch his back" she said with a wink
"As long as I'm okay. Screw everyone else!" I shouted earning us an evil look from an elderly woman sitting close by.

We sat and talked for what must have been hours. I glanced down at my watch to see it was 4:30 already.
"I'm sorry but I have to be at sound check soon"
"I better be getting back to Cris anyway, she'll be lost without me" she said dramatically. I laughed at how cute she looked
"I'll see you tonight though?"
"I wouldn't miss it for the world! Where is it at again?"
"The Music Box on Hollywood Boulevard. If you just say that to the cab driver they'll know where to take you" We spoke as we made our way out of the door and onto the street.
"I won't keep you any longer or everyone will hate me when I meet them tonight"
"It's fine. They'll probably hate you anyway!" I laughed then winced as she hit me on the arm "HEYY!"
"Oh stop wining! I never knew you were such a girl"
"I'm all man!" I shouted striking a pose causing Tay to start laughing once more
"If you say so, Jack." She rolled hey eyes.

As we hugged like usual when we parted ways I was shocked when I felt a soft kiss on my cheek.
"I'll see you tonight then" was all she said as she walked away leaving me frozen to the spot as I watched her disappear into the sea of people.

I felt my face burn and I could only imagine the shade of red I was right now but I didn't care.
