I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing somewhere in the room. As soon as I found it I answered it and was met by a friendly voice at the other end

"Hi, Tay" only two words were enough to send me into a fit of butterflies

"Hey Sam, you alright?" I replied trying my best to not to let him hear how exited and nervous I was

"Yeah I'm good thanks, so I was calling to see if you wanted to go for that drink tonight?"

"I'd love to" I could feel my cheeks starting to hurt from how much I was smiling

"Great, I'll pick you up at 7 then"

"Sounds good, I live in the Merchant Quarters Apartment block number 115 on the eleventh floor,"

"Okay, sorry I've got to go it's getting really busy at the cafe. I'll see you at 7" before I had time to reply the line was dead.

I checked the time on my phone, it was 6:55, then I heard a loud knock at the door. I looked in the bathroom mirror, made a final adjustment to the deep purple dress I had on, my hair was lightly curled and my make up was done. As I walked towards the door the sound of my heels echoed through the room. I opened it and my face drooped when I saw who was on the other side

"What? Do me eyes deceive me? Tay, is that you? Taylor Davis... in a DRESS?!" Cris almost screamed through pure shock of the view she had

"Cris what do you want?"

"I was going to see if you wanted to go out tonight but I see you have plans. So... who is he?" she asked as she skipped in and threw herself on the sofa

"Just a friend, and who invited you in?"

"Oooo a 'friend' and I'm not leaving until I see this boyfriend of yours!" she laughed

"He's not my boyfriend! It's just a date and he'll be here any minute so leave!"

"Aww, please" she pleaded "Can I just see him?"

"No, now go" she pulled a sad face and pretended to be crying "If you leave now I'll tell you all about it tomorrow"

"Fine, I'll go! but I want ALL the details"

"Of course, Cris" I let a sigh of relief escape as the door shut behind her, it's not that I didn't want her around it's just I was already nervous about my 'date' with Sam and Cris hanging around would not make me any more relaxed.

Again, I heard a knock at the door. I took a deep breath and opened it and stood on the other side was Sam; dressed it smart, dark jeans and a dress shirt which outlined his muscles perfectly, his hair was as amazing, as ever, and his smile made me go weak at the knees.

"Wow, you look beautiful" he said as he kissed my cheek I felt it burn as I blushed at what he had said.

"Thanks, you don't look to bad yourself" Oh God, did I really say that? He just chuckled which I'm guessing was a sign he didn't think I was completely weird.

The short walk to the car park was filled with awkward silence but that soon changed as we slipped into our usual conversation during the drive to wherever he was taking me.

"So, where are you actually taking me?" I asked after we had been driving for about 20minutes

"Well, we're almost here so I suppose I can tell you now...first we're going to go for dinner, then..." he was cut off by the sound of his phone ringing loudly "Sorry could you answer that? Just tell them I'm driving and I'll call them back tomorrow," I reached for the phone and answered it
