Taylor's POV

We were due to leave California in one day. It was almost two weeks after the night I met Harry and I hadn't seen or heard from him since; at first, I was scared to go out, terrified to do anything. But after the bruise had faded enough to be concealed by make-up Cris convinced me it was okay to leave the confinement of the hotel walls. Speaking of Cris, she'd had a particularly bad two weeks with her heart; I was having to inject her almost everyday and she seemed to loose her breath most of the time. She'd refused to go to the hospital though and said she's just see the doctor when she got back to Liverpool I left it at that because I'd learned from experience that there was no point trying to get Cris to change her mind on anything.

We were sat in a restaurant that someone had picked out after our day at the beach. Next to me was Jack then clockwise from there was: Rian, Cassadee, Cris, Zack, Matt (All Time Low's tour manager and friend who I'd met a week before) then Alex on the other side of me. It was a bitter sweet moment for me. I was in America with people who although I'd only known for three weeks I would call my best friends, we were laughing and joking about everything we'd got up to in our time together but at the same time all I could think about was the fact that I was leaving in the morning and I might never see them again.

The sound of cutlery being tapped on an empty glass made everyone stop talking and turn to Alex who was standing up at his seat. He looked smart in his black shirt and dark jeans, his light brown hair fell in his eyes and he swiftly brushed it to one side with his hand.

"I'm not gonna bore you all with my rambling" he started "But I just want to say on behalf of everyone that I'm so glad that Tay decided to play human bumper cars with Jack three weeks ago" I felt my cheeks flush slightly as everyone chuckled "Because if she didn't we wouldn't have met you guys. You two are crazy. I mean it! We're going to miss you so much when you leave" He said. his eyes flicking between Cris and I

"I'll drink to that!" Rian added

"To the Brits" Alex shouted raising his glass high in the air. Everyone followed, I didn't care about the glares we were getting in the otherwise quiet and civil restaurant, I just wanted to make the last few hours I had with these guys good ones.

Later on we were in a club, about the sixth one since we left the restaurant. I was sat on a tall bar stool with Jack on the one next to me. We'd gradually lost everyone else as the night went on until it was just the two of us.

"So you're really leaving?" Jack asked sadly, slurring his words a bit

"Yeah" I sighed. "But let's leave all this for tomorrow, tonight I want to have fun!" I smiled at him

"Good sir. Two of your finest beers, please" Jack called to the barman in an appalling attempt at an English accent. The tall, dark haired man smiled and opened two bottles before handing them to Jack. He went to get out his money when the man started to speak again

"This one's on me. It's not everyday you get to serve a rockstar" he laughed, Jack thanked him then pulled me up to the dance floor.

We moved in time to the masses of swaying bodies. The heat was too much for me to enjoy anything, my feet were aching and I was tired.

"You wanna get out of here?" Jack shouted so that I could hear him over the loud music. I just nodded in reply. He took my hand and guided me to the door. I was glad of the cool night air when we stumbled out into the back ally street. It was then that I realised just how drunk I was.

Jack clumsily thew an arm over my shoulder

"Where to?" he asked as we started to walk down the dark pavement. I yawned and Jack must have noticed "I'm pretty tired, should we just head back?"
