Tay's POV

I breathed out heavily, straightening out my top with my free hand

"Why are you so nervous?" Jack laughed squeezing the hand he was holding. I shrugged my shoulders

"Meeting parents is a big deal to me, what if they don't like me?" I said pouting

"Oh come on, who couldn't like you?" he said, kissing the pout away.

My stomach filled with butterflies like every single time we kissed. I wrapped my hand round the back of his neck and pulled him closer to me, our lips moulding together.

I jumped back away from him as the sound of an opening door made it's way to my ears, my cheeks turning a dark shade of pink

"Thank god mum sent me to open the door" the girl laughed

"Hey, May" Jack said letting go of my hand for a moment to hug her "Tay, this is my sister, May" he introduced us

"Hi" I said nervously glancing at the floor

"Don't be nervous, if you're half as sweet as Jack's already told us you are then everyone's going to love you" she laughed hugging me. I glanced over at Jack who was blushing slightly and glaring at  his sister  "Aw Jacky don't be like that, you're my baby brother it's my job to embarrass you!" she said pinching his cheek making him blush even more. I loved her already.

A short while later, after the formality of introductions to Jack's mum, dad and brother, Joe I was feeling more relaxed.

"How are you settling into your new home?" Joyce asked me; after the night of Cris' funeral Jack had asked me to move to America and live with him, an offer which I obviously accepted without a second thought. We went to the police and Harry was arrested, sentenced and locked up where he belonged.

"Really well thanks" I nodded, looking up at Jack who smiled back at me

"Awww" Joe cooed. Jack raised his hand making a crude gesture in his brother's direction out of their mother's eye sight I laughed to myself at how they acted like a pair of twelve-year-olds fighting over who's turn it was to play on the computer

The door bell rang around half past seven

"Hey Mrs. B" Alex's voice echoed through the house "I've come to pick up the lovebirds because we're all going out for dinner"

"Jack, Taylor; Alex is here" she shouted into the living room. We said our goodbyes and left the house, climbed into the van full of people and headed out for the night in Baltimore, my new home town.

Things were finally looking up for me and it was about fucking time!
