Note from the author
Hi!
I want to first thank you all for Sanditon fandom's support through the last year and a half. This fandom brought me real joy to write for. The regency is an era I know very well about. I love Austen and through this entire story I thought of her with deep respect for her art.
This story was unedited, first draft, dropped like it was hot, and it was very hot in my mind I had to come to the computer every day and write 2k words while also writing for another fandom, (Star Wars) but this story soon exploded. It became my most hit on AO3 and has nearly 200k hits there.
Here is to the point of this announcement. This story will likely be taken down and deleted in the next week and I wished to speak to my readers as to the reason for this. I may be working with an agent, and agency very soon and have an original manuscript and other work to protect and this may be a sore spot. I do not know the particulars but what I know of it, I will likely not be able to keep writing for the fandoms, or keep my stories up. But for now I want to tell you all, that even if I am headed on a new journey I am deeply and profoundly thankful for your readership through all this journey. River and the Man, Choked Elopement, Don't look Back, and the likely left unfinished Without Regrets (found for now on AO3) have been a JOY to write.
BUT MORE TO THE POINT. YOU HAVE BEEN A JOY TO WRITE FOR.
FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, THANK YOU.
M. K. Dockery
