She's Not Afraid

Chapter 1

The year is 2015 and I am now 21. I still haven't found the one. Most of my mates have found the so called one, but do I care? I would be lying if I said no. I'm still pretty young so I've got plenty of time. However, it would be nice to finally have a serious relationship once like the rest of the people around me have. I've dated a lot of people over the past few years. None of the relationships lasted more than 3 months though. Our schedules would always conflict with one another, someone would cheat, or we would argue way too much. With each person I would date more pain would come along with it. Maybe I should just stick with causal flings anyways. It's easy enough. Maybe that's why I go to the club every night. To drink away the pain that is currently plaguing my life, and sleep with some complete stranger in hope to feel wanted.

In the beginning my friends would come with me out for the night, then year by year one would drop from the mix and stay with their significant other. So tonight I am alone once again. I made my way to my usual club. I sat along the bar ordering the strongest shot like I do every night. Normally I just sit here till some random person comes and hits on me. We flirt a little, and then we head back to my place. That was not the case tonight. That was because the most intriguing woman sat next to me at the bar instead. She had dark wavy almond colored hair. She was thinner, but yet curvy in the most appealing way. Her eyes were a hazel color, which had dark make-up surrounding them. This practically made me melt on the spot. She gave of that vibe where there was more to learn about her.

"The usual?" The bartender asked the girl.

"Actually make it a triple tonight Ed, I just want to forget today all together." The woman said.

"Ok then." Ed said mixing up the drink and handing it to her.

She drank it all in one swallow. Then proceed to order another shot.

"Going hard tonight aren't we?" I asked her.

"That's really none of your business isn't it?" She snapped at me.

"I would guess not. My names Harry by the way."

"Congratulations on knowing your name, however I'm not interested."

"And why is that?" I asked.

"I have my reasons." She said giving me a sly look.

"Do you mind telling me those reasons?"

"If it will get you to leave me alone." She snapped back.

"Maybe it will, maybe it won't"

"Well for starters I don't like curly haired fuck heads."

"Excuse me, loads of girls like the curls." I said laughing.

"Yeah girls, since I am a woman I find them childish. Second reason why I'm not interested is because I know you're just looking for shag for the night."

"You don't know that." I snapped at her.

"Actually I do. You do the same thing every night when you're here. You get a few drinks in you; some blonde bimbo throws herself at you. You flirt for a bit, and then you walk out hand and hand."

"So you've been watching me?" I asked.

"It's hard not to watch idiots like you every night. I mean a different slut every night. People would think you would to make your image a little bit cleaner."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"That means since you're in a little boy band you should clean up your act." She stated taking in another shot.

"So you know who I am then?"

"I would be an idiot if I didn't. So that leads to reason number three. I don't exactly like that little boy band that you're in. Too mainstream."

"So just because I have curly hair, talk to a lot of girls, and am in a boy band you won't give me a chance?"

"I didn't say that." She said staring at me blankly. "I'm not giving you a chance mainly because you seem too much of a straight edge for me."

"Whoa...hold your horses. Me a straight edge? I have all sorts of tattoos and I come here every night."

"Good try Styles. Just because you have all kinds of money so you can ink yourself up and party every night does not mean you can keep up with me." She said winking.

"And what's that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"Oh how you would like to find out." She said getting up.

"I would like to actually."

"Nah...it would ruin your good boy image. I wouldn't want to break the all the tween hearts out there. It was lovely chatting with you Harry." She said walking away.

She wasn't going to get away that easily. I got up and chased after her. Which lead me to the alleyway behind the club. She was standing there leaning against the wall smoking a cigarette.

"You're not getting into my panties tonight Styles." She said laughing.

"I never caught your name." I said leaning against the wall near her.

"That's because I never told you."

"Well, are you going to tell me?" I asked.

"No."

"Why not? You really intrigue me."

"I already told you in the bar Harry. You can't keep up with a girl like me, and remember I don't like your curly hair. "She said taking a hit off her cigarette.

"How about you tell me what your name is and then I will leave you alone for the rest of the night?" I asked stepping closer to her.

"How about I don't tell you my name, and you just leave me alone?"

"Nah I don't think so." I said hovering over her. Our lips were only centimeters apart. I placed both hands on either side of her.

"Well, Styles you're in for a real disappointment then." She said wiggling out from underneath me.

She started walking away. Walking away with her cigarette still in her hand. She didn't even look back. She didn't honestly think she was going to get away that easy did she?

"When will I get to meet you again?" I yelled at her.

"Hopefully never." She yelled back not even turning around.

"And if never actually does happen will you tell me your name?" I yelled back

"Only if you're lucky Harry Styles." She yelled leaving the alleyway.
