Chapter 7
I'm not surprised that has been over a month since I've last heard from Hazel. I've tried calling and texting her couple of times, but obviously I've had no luck with that.
I've told the boys more about Hazel and her touch and go connection with people. As of right now they all have agreed that I should just forget about her and focus on the band or finding someone else special in my life. So I took their advice for well about a week. I mean I still thought about her, but I tried my best to not contact her. I just don't understand how this girl can have this kind of effect on me.
Actually I do know how, she toys with my mind. It's that mysterious side she has about herself that has never been present in any other girl that I've ever been with.
Today was one of those days were I tried to forget about her. Now that I am back from tour in America, these types of days typically start with me waking up at 9 a.m., and then heading off to the Starbucks that is two about blocks from my place.
I try really hard to blend in with the rest of the crowd, so I'm not mobbed once I get to the coffee shop. So far that has had only happened once. I guess just wearing sunglasses doesn't really fool the British people. So today I am wearing an SUPREME snapback, a pair of aviators, black jeans, a white t-shirt and a light grey hoodie. I had my hood pulled up so you couldn't see my curly hair sticking out of the back.
Once I got in the shop I surveyed the place around making sure that there weren't any teen girls that were going to tweet my whereabouts. Today day was in my favor. There were two older men with their wives, a woman that looked to be in her 40's reading a book, a guy on his laptop, and then some girl in what looked like last night's party attire.
She was rocking the large sunglasses on top of her head; hair was really messy looking and looked like she was passed out on the countertop.
I just shook my head in disappoint of the disaster that this girl looked like and then proceeded to order my triple espresso shot vanilla latte.
When asked for the name, I always say Doug. I mean I don't know any famous Doug's, beside that NICK cartoon that was on in the 90's so I thought I would just go with it. And with that it is so far so good. Nobody has questioned me yet.
I waited for about a five minutes before my order was called up. But, when my order was called up there was another name that was called along with it. Actually it was a name of a person that I haven't exactly heard from in about a month.
When I went up to grab my order, I noticed the girl that I thought to be passed out on the counter get up and make her way towards our coffees. Once I looked in her eyes I knew it was the Hazel I have so desperately wanted to see or talk to.
I just started hysterically laughing. In all places but a coffee shop I would run into her, and on the day I decided not to think about her, was the day she decided to spring back into my life.
While I was laughing Hazel gave me a weird look, like I was some deranged freak. I would have thought that she would be able to recognize me from my visible face, but I guess the hangover that she was currently having might have messed that up.
After she grabbed her coffee she started heading towards the door. At that time, I noticed that she had on 5 inch heels it made her legs look amazing. Ok, I really need to snap out of this gaze that I was doing because she was leaving and I wasn't going to let her walk out on me again, because who knows when I would exactly see her again.
Once I got outside I realized that she was almost a block ahead of me. So I decided to run to catch up to her. Man, she walked fast in those heels!
