Chapter 8

It was only a few days ago when I last seen Hazel. It seemed like for a moment when we hung out that she seemed fine with it, but knowing me I messed that up in a matter of seconds.  So who exactly knows when Hazel will try to pop back into my life again? Maybe I should just give up with her. She doesn’t exactly open up to me. Then when I do try to get her to open up to me, I notice that she seems to have a fight in her mind on whether or not she should let her walls down, even for a brief second. So I really don’t know what to do. I can see that she wants to open up to me, but it’s going to be a difficult process for her. So I guess until she does, I will just hang out with my mates trying not to think about her.

Today Zayn was over at my flat. He was really upset because Perrie and him have been fighting a lot and they are now on a break. I’m sure it won’t last long. They normally break up at least once a month, but they then get back together. Most of the time they break up over petty things, so that’s why they normally get back together so quickly,  and then that’s why the media never really knows that they have an on again off again relationship. It all just happens so quickly.

So since I’m the only guy out of us five that is normally not busy, because I don’t have a girlfriend or anything Zayn just normally hangs out with me on days like this. Just guy time, we normally play video games all day. We really don’t talk about it, unless it’s really bothering him.  This is the kind of stuff I can deal with.  No emotions what so ever. It’s not like I don’t like talking about people’s problems or their feelings. It’s just I don’t quite know how to respond fully. I try my best, but it’s normally not good enough. So that’s why I really don’t try anymore.

Today so far Zayn’s mostly been focused on the video games. So today has been pretty easy.  Well except for the part that it is now two in the afternoon and we both haven’t eaten lunch yet.

“Zayn, I’m getting hungry.” I complained.

“Me too. You know what sounds good?” He asked.

“What?”

“Perrie.” He sighed.

“That isn’t exactly on the menu, nor is it humane to eat your ex-girlfriend.” I laughed.

“I just miss her.”

“I know you do mate. You two will get back together soon enough. You two always do. How about in the mean time I make some of my famous fajitas?” I asked.

“Yeah…..I guess that will do.” He mumbled.

“Cheer up Zayn. You two have been together for three years. It’s only been a day, since you two split. She will come around. She always does.” I said patting him on the back then getting up.

I was in the kitchen for about 10 minutes when I heard a knock on the door.  I was currently cutting up chicken so there was no way I was going to be able to go and answer the door in the other room. Anyways Zayn was closer to the door, so it was more idealistic for him to go and answer it.

“Hey Zayn can you answer that?” I yelled across the room.

“Yeah, I guess.” I heard Zayn say.

----

I guess whoever knocked on the door wasn’t that important.  I say that because Zayn didn’t come out and tell me who showed up nor did the person who knocked come in to the kitchen to see me. Maybe it was a package. Zayn probably just went right back to play Call of Duty or something along those lines.

I had just finished the fajitas and I decided to be a good mate and fix up a plate for Zayn and bring it out to him. Just as I finished that I carried our plates to the living room where we were playing before.  When I got out there I realized that the game was on pause, and Zayn was on the couch making out with someone. By the looks of it things were starting to get pretty serious, and by serious I mean Zayn’s and the girls’ shirt was off, and Zayn’s belt was undone.
