(Inside Atem's soul room)
Atem's POV.I held Mana close to me as I stroke her hair. Our breathing echo's through the empty room. I feel bad for not being able to place her on a bed. The puzzle rooms are completely barren. I sit on the floor with her on my lap. Even though we have nothing, I'm happy we have each other.
A bright emerald light disrupted me from my thoughts. "Who's there?" I demanded. "Now that's the young Pharaoh my people know and love." A feminine voice from the light answered. "You didn't answer my question," I tell her sternly.
She chuckles. I blocked my eyes from the blinding light with my hand. After the light disappears, I open my eyes to see the Goddess Phoenix in front of me.
"Your Highness, forgive my bluntness but why are you here?" I asked in astonishment. " Well Your Majesty, I've come to bless and caution you both." She explains. "Your future together is both dark and bright." "You will both be put through extreme trials in order to prepare you for 'Your Greatest Battle'."
"Wasn't that my battle with Zorc?" I asked reluctantly. "I'm afraid not Pharaoh." She sighed. "Please call me by my name after all I'm no longer a Pharaoh," I assured her. "Nonsense not only are you still a Pharaoh, but you're also the Greatest Pharaoh known to mankind." She ensured me.
I looked up at her in astonishment. (Me? As the greatest Pharaoh, yeah right. I'm nothing but a coward.) I think to myself. Mana lets out a cute yawn stretching her arms out while hitting me in my stomach.
"Sorry Pharaoh," she mutters sheepishly.
"It's okay my love," I tell her while stroking her cheek gently. "Uhh hum" Phoenix clears her throat. "Sorry Your Highness, sweetheart we have a guest." Mana looks over to where Phoenix is. She gasps when she sees her. She quickly stands up and runs towards her, grabbing her in a bear hug. I chuckle to myself. I've missed this playful side of her."Your Highness, is it really you?" She asked breathlessly. "Yes princess it's me." "It's good to see you're in good spirit." Phoenix smiled at her. "As I was telling your precious Pharaoh, I've come to bless and caution you both." Phoenix goes on to fill Mana in on what she missed.
"So did I really destroy Zorc?" Mana asked nervously. "For now yes you have but you will face him again later down the road," Phoenix explains. Mana and I grunt in frustration.
"On the bright side it won't be anytime soon as you both need to be properly trained and ready," Phoenix reassured us. "Father and mother (Ra and Horakhty) have agreed to help me give you both something special." "We are going to turn the inside of this puzzle into a palace and make this room fit for a king and queen." " Father has also agreed to officiate your wedding." "Everyone you hold dear will be allowed to attend."
"Please bear in mind although we are doing all of this, you're both still in spirit form and you won't be able to bring fought children." "The puzzle allows you to operate as a human when it comes to physical contact with each other or anyone who enters but that's it. "While you can sleep, you can't eat, sweat, get damage, etc." "If you noticed while you felt the pain from Zorc and Snow-White (Bakura) you have no scars to show for them." "That's because the puzzle is similar to the shadow realm."
