A/N
Hi lovelies, welcome back. This chapter will be altered a bit as I'm making a three-way duel out of it. I know this duel is one of this season's favorites so I apologize if it's not up to your standards.

Ra: Phoenix doesn't own Yugioh or its characters nor the media used in this story. They belong to their respectful owners. Why do we keep reminding you of this you may ask? It's simple she isn't an Egyptian God or fully loaded like Kaiba to handle a copyright lawsuit.

Cecelia: Now on to the story😘

Yami's POV

"Feeling any better?" I asked her.
"Yeah seeing her makes today a lot easier hopefully getting through tomorrow won't be as difficult as it normally is," She stated.
"Come here," I called out to her with both arms open and she rushed into them placing her head on my chest.
"Whenever I'm with you I feel safe," She whispered.
"I'm always here for you Y/N," I said placing a kiss on top her head.

Why does someone so sweet and precious have to endure so much pain and agony? It's not fair. Why do bad things happen to good people? I wish there was a way for me to keep that heart-warming smile of hers on her face at all times.

"Would you like to talk about it?" I asked gently stroking her hair.
"That would be nice. Why don't we get comfy on your bed?" She stated and we walked over to the bed.
"What would you like to know?"
"Everything,"

"Okay, here goes nothing. My dad and I always spent our Saturdays together. It was the one day of the week set aside just for us. We'd spend it by going to our favorite places, the mall, ice cream shop, lake, and the park. On our way home, we'd always stop and buy mom pink roses her favorite flower along with dinner from her favorite restaurant. Dad would make our family dinner extra special with his old record player. We'd talk, laugh, and dance together for hours enjoying each other's company. Our home was full of love and laughter. They did their best to ensure I was well taken care of physically, mentally, and financially. They thought me to be kind and compassionate to others as well as how to be strong and fearless when facing adversaries," She began explaining.

"You had something every kid deserves. I wish there was a way for me to go back in time and stop this tragedy from striking,"
"You and me both," She sighed.
"I wish I could take away your pain," I whispered while hugging her closely.

"You're making it easier by being here and listening. I was so excited when I got home that evening. I never in a million years thought that a day that started so heavenly would turn out to be the worst day of my life. My heart broke into pieces as I watched her lifeless body on the ground. We prayed and prayed hoping she'd come back but our prayers were unanswered. We did everything we could to revive her but nothing worked. She was gone. All because she chose my dad over that psychotic maniac," She sobbed.

"It's okay let it out. I promise you we'll get through this together and get your dad back to his right frame of mind. I understand now why he's doing all of this but we can't allow him to hurt innocent people even though his intentions are good,"
"His heart's in the right place but his methods are way off. That eye is making him insane," She said.
"So what are we gonna do?" I asked.
"Win this tournament. Even though he acts heartlessly, he's a man of his word," She explained.

"So all we need to do is win against him and we'll get our friends back?" I asked.
"It's a lot harder than it sounds though. He is the creator of Duel Monsters and he does have a millennium eye giving him an unfair advantage," She reminded me.

"That may be true but he doesn't have the bond of friendship we have with our friends or the special bond we share," I told her making her cheeks redden.
"Special bond huh? Did someone remember something?" She asked raising a brow.
