Tristan: Now on with the chapter!

(Y/N POV)

I had just gotten to the bottom of the stairs about to enter the arena when I heard Yami call out to me. I turned around to see him running down the stairs to meet me.

"Sorry I couldn't let you start your duel without wishing you all the best," He said shyly.
"Thank you, Pharaoh but you didn't have to run down the stairs like just for that," I smirked making him more nervous.
"I uh um," He stuttered making me quirk a brow.
"You?" I teased.
"She's toying with you Spirit," Yugi said popping out at his side making Yami glare at me.
"You're cute when you get flustered up," I whispered in his ear earning a sharp exhale from him.
"I know this duel won't be easy so please stay focus and give it you're all. As long as you put your heart in it you'll do just fine," He said in a serious tone.
"I'll give it my all Pharaoh, I promise," I told him before pecking his cheek making both him and Yugi blush.
Croquet's voice broke our bubbles making us turn our attention to him.

"The final semi-final match will now begin. Will the two finalists please take their places and show their cards that will allow them to participate," Croquet ordered.

"Well, guys this is it. I'll see you both later," I said hugging Yami tightly.
He hugged me back and kissed my cheeks cheekily before returning to his friends with his bright red cheeks.
I made my way to the red platform and showed my Glory of The Kings Opposite Hand card to Croquet.
"You're qualified," He said.
"Where's Leo guys?" Tristan asked.
"He wasn't feeling well when we went to check if he was ready but I thought he'd be fine by now," Serah said worriedly.
We're both worried about him and Mahad.
"Well he has ten minutes to get here otherwise Miss Pegasus will automatically win this duel," Croquet stated.
"What? No way that's not fair!" Joey yelled.
"She needs to earn her spot just like Yugi and Joey!" Tēa agreed.
"The rule plainly states if a duelist is late he or she is disqualified," Croquet reminded them.
"If it were anyone else we would be okay with that rule but considering she's the daughter of the man throwing this tournament, it's only fair she works for her spot like everyone else," Joey explained.

"That's an excellent idea, Joseph. If Leo doesn't show up maybe you can duel Angel in his place. What do you say hmm?" Dad taunts?
"Why you!" Joey growls.
"Joey's already qualified for the finals," Tèa stated.
"I don't mind dueling her Tēa. She doesn't stand a chance against my butt-kicking deck," Joey teased.
"Joey you're not thinking seriously. You could lose your only chance to enter the finals and win the prize money for your sister's operation," Bakura informed him.
"Exactly," Tea faced palm.
"Master Pegasus, it's been fifteen minutes what should I do?" Croquet asked.

"You can allow me to participate!" Serah exclaimed as she made her way up the blue platform showing Croquet her qualification card.
"My my what do we have here? A duel between the Little Goddess and the Phoenix Queen. How does one say no to that?" Dad smirks but Serah just rolls her eyes at him.
"Ser whatcha think you're doing?" Joey asked.
"I also qualified for the finals in case you forgot. I gave Seto three star chips so Y/N wouldn't lose her spot and Leo said I could take his place if he couldn't make it. You said the Glory of The Kings cards allows us to participate in the finals which means star chips don't count here am I right?" She asked.
"That's right. You're qualified but it's up to Master Pegasus to decide whether or not you're allowed to participate," Croquet told her.
"Well?" She asked dad.
"I don't see why not. A duel between the top two female duelists who also happen to be best friends. That's a match I'd pay millions to see and here I get to see it for free. Announce the start of this notorious match Croquet," Dad ordered.
