You nervously sat against a chair whilst a female-nurse helped you take a sample to find out if you were pregnant with Captain Levi's baby.

Whilst she made notes against her desk, you began to nervously fidget in your seat. You wondered what would happen to your relationship if you were to be pregnant: you wondered what he was really thinking behind his calm facade.

After the nurse softly smiled, she informed you that the test would take a while to produce the results, and, you were welcome to wait with your 'boyfriend' outside. You rushed outside of the office to meet with a stone-faced Levi in the waiting-room.

Levi's eyes flickered widely, deeply breathing in: "So? Are you pregnant, or, not?"

"You can't find out that quickly, you idiot. The nurse just thought that it would be better for my anxiety to wait out here with you until they find out."

"How was I supposed to know that?" Levi's face formed a defensive cringe, "I've never done this before."

"Are you trying to say it's my fault?" You snapped.

"You're being ridiculous." Levi rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest: "Obviously I was not insinuating that."

Awkwardly rubbing your nape with your palm, you began to apologise, "I'm sorry - I didn't mean to get angry. I'm just stressed, and I've had a shit morning."

Levi snaked his palm against your thigh, offering you an awkward, forced, yet sweet, smile: "It's okay, I know you didn't mean it. Don't worry about it."

You placed your hand against his, slowly entwining your fingers around his to hold his hand once again. Your feet nervously tapped against the dark, wooden floor of the waiting room. Your teeth chattered, unable to stop.

"Hey, Y/N?"

"Yes?"

Levi calmly exhaled, "Let's make a deal."

You scoffed, "A deal? I really don't think this is the time for a deal, Levi."

"Listen, first." Levi began, locking his eyes into yours whilst beginning to lean closer: "If you're not pregnant, then I'd like to take you out. Wherever you want: just the two of us, together."

Excitedly, you beamed widely to show all of your teeth: "I'd like that."

"Good. Where do you want to go?"

"Dancing." You responded, watching his expression immediately falter into a frown: "I'd like to go out into the Main-Town and dance. I had so much fun last time!"

"If that's what you want, then fine." Levi tutted, "We can drink, as well - so much that we can hardly walk. We'll do all of the stuff that we wouldn't have been able to do if the test had come back positive."

You smiled in response to his offer, unable to hide the excitement plastered on your face.

"I'll pay for everything," Levi continued, "It'll be my treat. Anything you want, and it's on me."

"But, what if the test comes back positive?"

Levi stammered for a moment, then, a small smirk began to arise on his lips whilst he nudged you harshly, "Then, you can watch me get drunk, instead."

You laughed, even louder than the last, as Levi began to slowly smile at the sound; that contagious giggle; that expression on your face that he couldn't grow bored of.

"So," He extended his hand formally, "Deal?"

Still chuckling, you laced your hand around his, "It's a deal."

Suddenly, the door began to open. You both simultaneously straightened your posture whilst the nurse nervously clutched her paperwork to her chest.

Her nervous expression reminded you of the situation, and all of your anxieties came flooding back.

"The results are back." The nurse hesitated, biting down onto her lip: "You might want to have a look at this. In private. I'd like to discuss your options with you."

You and Levi had mirrored expressions that were filled with anxiety and horror. Levi immediately squeezed your hand tightly, then turned to face you.

"Are you ready?" He asked slowly.

You shook your head fiercely.

Levi exhaled, "Do you want me to talk to the nurse and tell you afterwards?"

You nodded, your throat feeling too tight to speak a single word.

The nurse, still riddled with anxiety, awkwardly questioned you: "I'm sorry - we have a confidentiality rule. We're only allowed to give information to the patient, or, the patients family member."

"He's my husband." You immediately responded as Levi's eyes widened, "It's fine."

Levi nodded along with a lie, "Yes, we're married. She kept her surname, but, I'm her spouse."

"I see, my apologies." The nurse uttered, before she told Levi to enter the office so that she could tell him whether you were pregnant, or, not.

As soon as Levi had left your sight, your anxiety only worsened.

Your pupils frantically darted around the different objects inside of the room: the only noise that you could hear was a slow, ticking clock and the sound of your shoes tapping.

Levi and the nurse disappeared for a long time.

You wondered what was going on beyond the door; you imagined the worse case scenario. You imagined that the nurse had told Levi that you were pregnant, and he was currently raging. You imagined that Levi was angry with you.

The door finally creaked open, Levi's muscular figure enter your view with a sheet of paper in his hands.

His face seemed annoyed, to put it lightly.

You quickly rose to your feet as he raised an eyebrow at you, "What happened? Are we having a baby?"

Levi slowly handed you a sheet of paper, "No. We're not going to be parents, after all."

"Thank fuck!" You yelled without thinking, throwing your arms around his shoulders with relief that it was a false alarm.

He loosely wrapped his arms around your waist, his face nestling into your neck. You felt his warm breaths against your skin.

"What took you so long?" You snapped, still holding him close, "And, why did you look so anxious when you left the room? You had me worried-sick out here!"

Levi pursed his lips together in an awkward manner, "She was talking a lot, which is why I took so long - she was extremely worried."

"Worried? About what?"

His glare began to turn more condescending as he lowered his tone, "It turns out that you failed to mention to the doctor that you're a titan-shifter. That's why she was so worried when she asked to speak to us - she thought that you had some deadly disease, and that was why your DNA was so fucked-up. She even insisted that you should stay over night for closer examination. I explained, don't worry - I've never seen anyone so relieved before to find out that they had dealt with a titan." Levi shook his head whilst rolling his eyes, "I'm sorry if I worried you."

You laughed with relief, "It's fine, Ackerman. I'm just so relieved that it was a false-alarm."

Levi nodded, "Anyway, Scout - make sure that you wear something nice tonight."

"Wait?" You hesitated, stepping away in surprise, "You really meant that? You really want to take me out tonight?"

"Of course." He replied with a calm expression, "We made a deal, right? You should know by now that I'm a man of my word."
