Your face softened beneath the summer, morning dew, watching as Hange Zoë raised their hand to gesture for you to come over to them. Half of their body was leant against the walls of the barracks outside."Morning."
A smile lingered against their crooked-teeth, "Good morning. How are you?" Their fingers slowly traced up to your cheek, running their thumb across your skin, "You look tired; have you been sleeping okay?"
With half-closed eyes, you lied: "As well as I can."
The waves of sunlight were beating down against your face, making highlights of shimmer against your cheekbones and nose; you dragged your tanned, leather jacket down your shoulders and forearms, unsure on what else to do to avoid the radiance of the sun.
You pulled your shirt to fan your chest and stomach, arching your neck back.
Hange had done the same: they had carelessly tossed their uniform-jacket to the sandy floor at your feet. You threw yours on top.
Hange began to explain the expedition to you as you both wandered towards the stables nearby, collecting and beginning to ready your horses.
You hoisted yourself up onto the saddle of your tanned horse, your fingers trickling down her reigns as you heard her sigh loudly - her neck twisting around. A smile pressed against your lips, soothing the horse down as she began to slowly trot forward.
Hange soon followed after you.
Beads of sweat trickled down your forehead, staining lines against your face; you were short of breath, the first few buttons of your shirt unbuttoned as you struggled to concentrate under the heavy radiance of the sun. The forrest was at least one-hundred meters away in sight, and the minor expedition had finally come to a cease.
Hange praised the soldiers efforts during the mission.
The muscles in your thighs ached from overexertion whilst you slowly rode on the back of your horse. Whilst outstretching your arms to relax your tender muscles, you arched your neck across your shoulder; your eyes landed on Levi. His stone-cold eyes watched you carefully from approximately eight-meters behind - his lips were moving whilst he spoke with Armin Arlert, a soldier you had only briefly became aquatinted with.
Levi lifted his slender hand upwards to suggest for you to slow your pace.
He tightened his grip of his horses reigns, finishing his conversation with the blond. He quickened his pace to meet with you. Now riding in silence behind you, Levi emotionlessly stared at you from the corner of his eye. You nervously swallowed, feeling flustered beneath his gaze whilst you rode together towards the barracks.
Even days later, you felt disgusted in yourself: horrified that you had thought about kissing him whilst bandaging his knuckles.
"You were right." Levi broke the silence between you both.
Startled at the sound of his hoarse voice, you questioned: "About, what?"
"About the bandages helping my knuckles," He lifted his pretty-hand upwards into your vision, "And, just so you're aware, I don't often admit that I'm wrong. Don't take it for granted."
"I can try, but, no promises." You, feeling more nervous than ever before, shrugged, "You're welcome, Lev- Sorry. You're welcome, Captain." You corrected yourself immediately.
He hummed.
The older soldier turned to face the dirt-track roads ahead once more. His piercing eyes glared miles ahead onto the yields of fields.
Levi wore the same clothes he had worn when you had first met: a fitted, leather, uniformed jacket and a crisp shirt that clung to every curve of his muscular physique. Whilst he wasn't looking, you took the time to admire him: analysing every inch.
The Adam's-apple on his neck.
His sharp collar bones.
His muscular forearms.
The outlines of his thighs. Your eyes slowly dropped, before you forced them shut.
To say you were disgusted in your lust towards Levi Ackerman would be a grave understatement; your heart was beating wildly inside of your chest.
He placed his eyes back onto yours as a shock of electricity ran upwards through your core: "I wanted to tell you something."
"Oh?"
He nodded to himself, "Tea. In my office. After we arrive at the barracks."
He used short sentences; his tone was demanding; you weren't quite sure if it was an offer, or an order.
"Do I have a choice?"
"No," His shoulders shrugged with a bewitching glare, "I don't like having debts unpaid - considering it my thanks for caring for my hand, and, for the tea you made me a week ago."
Caught of guard, you stammered slightly.
Noticing your hesitation, his forehead puckered: "Did I stutter, Yaeger? I don't like having to repeat myself."
"I heard you fine," You had a gleam of deviltry, "I'm just a little taken-aback, that's all. I'm touched."
"Don't be." He snapped beneath his breath, not wanting to draw the attention of nearby Scouts, "Remember what I said, drinking tea together does not make us friends."
"I never said that I want to be your friend, anyway." Your tone rose in offence, "But, I am thirsty - tea does sound nice right now."
The edge of his lip rose upwards before he caught himself, shaking off his amused smirk: "I bet you are. Meet me inside of my office in one hour."
