"I can't believe that he was here!" Misaki wailed, "Oh goodness, I wish I wasn't confined to this wretched bed; I could've gone to meet him myself! Ugh! Ok, the next time an opportunity like that arises, I'll stop at nothing to seize it!"

When you went to visit Kirara and Misaki, you entered the room to find them discussing how Endeavour was actually being kept in the hero section and that Hawks had gone to visit him. Since they were spotted leaving the building together, it quickly became all the rage among the patients and staff. Most of all Misaki, who was both elated by and saddened by the news. Seeing as how you didn't get his autograph and because you shouldn't have been up there, you didn't tell her that you accidently ran into Hawks on the rooftop. It's not that she or Kirara would've believed you anyway- heck you wouldn't believe yourself. It was a really strange coincidence.

"To be honest, I'm surprised by the fact that Endeavour, the number one hero, was being kept here without word getting out," Kirara said while munching absentmindedly. She had brought a pack of donuts for us to share. Clearly, she had a weakness for sugary things since she was finishing her second while Misaki only nibbled on a key lime one and you were chomping through a classic jam filled one, "Although it makes sense that he would want his privacy. You've seen the news coverage, haven't you y/n?"

"Yeah, but I could hardly watch it," you said, wincing at the memory of seeing Endeavour getting absolutely brutalised, by the freak of nature nomu.

You had caught up with the news late last night, and it didn't occur to you until you saw the sheer extent of the devastation what a huge deal this was. It not only highlighted how unstable everything was and how uneasy everyone felt without a shiny symbol of peace, but also how little faith the people once had for the new number one. The sentiment is a little more positive, especially thanks to one very outspoken girl in the crowd, but things will never be the same as before. That much is certain. Even a space cadet like you had that figured out.

"It was just awful, wasn't it?" Misaki said, setting her donut down on a napkin, "It's a miracle that Endeavour is even alive right now, let alone that he still has both of his eyes. Even with Hawks' help, he came dangerously close to losing."

"Didn't all his feathers get burnt up when he gave Endeavour that burst of speed?" Kirara asked. She gestured to Misaki's donut and she nodded with a small smile and an eye roll, to which Kirara grabbed the donut and sank her teeth into it, "What happens next, is he quirkless now or what?"

"Or what. He can regenerate his feathers you know?" said Misaki.

"I know," Kirara said, "But they all got burnt up at once, that at least must take a long time to recover from."

"I suppose, however those who saw him said that his wings looked like they'd recovered about halfway," Misaki said thoughtfully, pulling the white sheets up to her chin, "I can't wait to go to Fukuoka...oh, y/n, have you decided on what you're going to do? The deadline is tomorrow."

You shoved the rest of the jam donut in your mouth and said, "I'he gesigeg ko shtay."

This confused Misaki who was trying to figure out what you said and Kirara looked slightly perturbed at the sight you talking with your mouth full. You quickly finished chewing and said, "Sorry, bad habit. I've, uh, decided that I'm not going home just yet."

Misaki's face brightened, "So you're coming to Fukuoka with us?!"

"Yep!"

"Hooray!" Misaki cheered, her enthusiasm almost knocking over the box of donuts, but Kirara managed to save them.

"What made you want to stay?" Kirara inquired, setting the box away from Misaki, "Other than us of course...unless it was just us."

It was them sure, but you can't give them all the credit. You don't think you could've stayed if you hadn't met such nice people and made friends. But it was what Hawks said that resonated with you, about not running away from something you want to do, even if you're afraid. Besides, he said that the heroes are working hard for the good of the people, and he promised he'd make it so that heroes can enjoy a little boredom now and again. You trust that he'll make it happen. It's not that he convinced you on his own, you also talked to your parents about it too and they were eventually on board with it.
