You flew through the night sky, higher than even the tallest skyscrapers and landed on the roof of Hawks' apartment complex. It was covered in large solar panels and other large electrical equipment, not something you'd expect to see on a building like this. Hawks saw your surprise and said, "All the communal facilities like the pool and gardens are just below us. The people here like their privacy; they wouldn't risk being spied on from the rooftop," he explained. He didn't put you down until we reached the double doors that led to the inside, he opened it using an exclusive looking key card that made you think that residents aren't really allowed up here and that somehow, he got special permission.

"Spied on?! What sort of people live here?" you asked as you walked down a hallway. It had a surprising amount of space, there were a couple doors on either side with clean smooth white-grey floors and walls and sensory ceiling lights. At the end was an elevator.

"It's not like that," he remarked. You went into the elevator- which was again quite spacey- and you watched as Hawks pressed the button of the floor his room was situated in. It wasn't as far down as he had made it out to be, "I'm talking about very withdrawn celebrities, actors, artists, idols, even a couple government officials," he said as you descended down the floors. A short time later, the doors opened to reveal a slightly smaller hallway than the one before, with a magnolia colour theme. You being the kind soul that you are didn't want to disturb anyone, so you tried to make your steps as quiet as possible, Hawks noticed and started snickering, "You don't have to do that, there are only two apartments per floor and these walls are completely soundproof anyway. AYOOO-!"

To prove this, he started to bellow from the top of his lungs. You jumped at the sudden noise and swivelled your head around, expecting someone to come and shout at the two of you. Surprisingly, no one came and you turned to see Hawks with a mischievous grin. You could only frown at him, "Don't ever do that."

He just chuckled, "Come on, my apartment is through here," and pointed further down the hall. This time he took out a different key card and used it to unlock the door to his living space. His wings were blocking your view, so you couldn't see what it was like until you had both walked in and he'd stepped out of the way. When he switched on the lights, you peeked out from behind the left wing and gasped.

Inside was a huge room, or rather three rooms in one. To the left was a sort of living room type space with the biggest flat screen tv you've ever seen and two smaller ones on either side on a wall facing an arrangement of comfy looking L-shaped sofas and a wide low-lying table. To the right was a lavish kitchen area complete with the latest amenities, an island with high stools and then facing the kitchen was a dining table and chairs. In the middle was a long spiral staircase that led to the upper rooms; the upper floor was visible from below and had railing to act as an indoor balcony. The walls facing the city where just all made of glass, these towering windows seemed to have electronic shutter installed as well as being controlled remotely as well. There were abstract paintings on the walls, a few statues and besides that there wasn't much there in the way of decoration.

You took your shoes off, left them on the ornate rack by the door next to his and wandered around, Hawks observed your reaction as you took everything in. He wore a small smile when he voiced, "What do you think?"

"It's...incredible," you breathed, walking to the windows. You still had your winter coat on since it was cold. Sure, it was warmer than it was outside, but only just. "I can't believe you live here."

"I wouldn't say that," he scoffed, taking off his visor and resting his headphones around his neck, before coming to stand next to you, "And I actually spend more time out there than in here."

"Being the number two hero must be hard work," you mused, glancing at the two of your reflections in the glass, "I didn't see any gaming equipment by your TVs, is it all kept in a cupboard or something?"
